Did Amiya win

Chapter 10: Did Amiya Win?

"Kaitou Kid..."

Amiya curiously examined Chen Feng from a distance. Though she had seen his photos and videos online before, this was her first time seeing him in person.

"Thank you all for coming to watch my performance. As for the Ocean's Heart, I'll be taking it now!"

As he spoke, a silver-white necklace dangled from Chen Feng's fingertips, its pale blue gemstone mesmerizing to the eye.

Li Qingyan and the others quickly closed in, forming a semicircle around Chen Feng, trapping him from three sides.

"Chen Feng! You're under arrest! Surrender now!"

"Hand over the Ocean's Heart!"

"Chen Feng, put your hands behind your head and kneel down, or we won’t go easy on you!"

The pursuit team was fired up, their anger from being outsmarted last time still fresh.

As they slowly advanced, they had Chen Feng completely cornered against the floor-to-ceiling window.

Now, one step back would send him plummeting dozens of meters from the ledge, while one step forward would bring him face-to-face with the eager pursuit team. A pincer attack!

Even the live-stream audience thought Chen Feng had no chance this time.

"It's over! I told you Chen Feng shouldn’t have been so reckless! Now he’s got no way out!"

"You steal something, fine, but did you really have to announce it beforehand? Now you’ve walked right into their trap!"

"Nooo! My husband Chen Feng can’t go out like this!"

"Shut up, all of you! Last time at the hotel rooftop, you said Feng-shen was done for too, and look what happened! I believe he’ll pull off another miracle!"

"Times have changed! Look at the situation—unless Chen Feng can fly, there’s no way he’s escaping!"

"Agreed. If he gets away this time, I’ll livestream eating two pounds of sht!"

...

Even Li Qingyan, leading the charge, seemed convinced Chen Feng had no escape, her face already betraying a victorious smile.

"Chen Feng, don’t bother struggling. I’ll admit, stealing the Ocean's Heart right under our noses was beyond my expectations. But you couldn’t have predicted we’d hide so many people in the crowd waiting for you, could you?"

Despite Li Qingyan’s aggressive stance, Chen Feng remained utterly unshaken. His calm demeanor made it seem like he never even considered them a threat.

"My dear lady, if this were a banquet, I’d gladly invite you for a drink and a dance. But alas, the current atmosphere doesn’t permit it. We’ll have to save that for another time."

Chen Feng’s words left everyone stunned.

Even the pursuit team members, who had been brimming with hostility, froze in place, staring at him in disbelief.

Did… did he just flirt with the captain?

They exchanged glances, their shock lingering.

Their captain’s temper… wasn’t exactly mild.

With that thought, they instinctively turned to Li Qingyan.

Sure enough, her earlier smile had vanished, replaced by a dark scowl. She pulled out the handcuffs from her belt, ready to teach this arrogant brat a lesson herself!

But Chen Feng showed no intention of resisting.

As Li Qingyan closed in, he simply stepped back with a faint smile, retreating until he was at the edge of the window, half his foot already over the ledge.

"What’s he doing? This is the sixteenth floor! Even a rock would shatter from this height!"

"Husband, no! Just quit the show if you have to—I’ll take care of you!"

"Feng-shen, don’t be rash! You’re not a real criminal! If you get caught, it’s just a couple of days in confinement until the show ends!"

"Ahhh! I can’t watch!"

...

Chen Feng’s actions terrified everyone, even Li Qingyan, who hesitated to approach further.

"Chen Feng, don’t be reckless! This is just a show—there’s no need for this! Come back, we’ll guarantee your safety!"

Chen Feng’s lips curled slightly. "Thank you for your kindness, Miss Li. It’s a shame this isn’t a ball—I would’ve loved to be your friend."

He glanced at his watch, then bowed gracefully to the crowd, as if concluding a performance.

"Well then, time’s up. Until we meet again."

With that, he spread his arms and let himself fall backward.

"Ahhh—!"

"No!!"

Some of the more faint-hearted spectators screamed in horror.

Li Qingyan lunged forward, but it was too late.

Chen Feng had already disappeared over the edge.

Yet, contrary to expectations, there was no plummeting figure.

Instead, the moment he was airborne, his white cape billowed outward, rapidly assembling into a triangular glider that carried him into the distance.

As Chen Feng’s figure grew smaller in the sky, the crowd stood frozen in disbelief.

"Holy sht, no way! This dude’s gotta be cheating!"

"Ahhhh! Chen Feng, you’re too damn cool!!!"

"Husband, I want your babies!"

"See? I told you Feng-shen wouldn’t get caught! Hey, where’s that guy who promised to eat sht? Let me know when you start—I wanna watch!"

"+1, me too. Need extra ingredients? I can contribute!"

"+1"

...

"What are you all standing around for? Go after him!"

Li Qingyan’s furious roar snapped the pursuit team out of their daze, sending them scrambling after her.

"I’ll stay and secure the scene!" one young member called out.

Li Qingyan glanced at him—the same one who had first spotted Kaitou Kid. For some reason, he looked vaguely familiar, but she didn’t have time to dwell on it. She nodded absently before leading the others away.

Amiya shot a disdainful look at the clueless royal security captain beside her. She couldn’t stand the sight of these incompetents any longer.

"You go too," she ordered.

The captain nearly collapsed in relief, quickly rallying his pale-faced team to chase after the pursuit squad.

Once the crowd had dispersed, Mill, Amiya’s assistant, announced the temporary closure of the exhibition, refunding tickets and ushering out the remaining visitors.

Soon, only a handful of people remained in the hall.

Amiya turned her gaze toward the direction Chen Feng had flown, a faint smile playing on her lips.

"It seems I’ve won this round after all, Kaitou Kid."

Just then, a voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Miss Amiya."

"Hm?"

She turned to see the young pursuit team member who had stayed behind now standing beside her.

"Is there something you need?"

Out of courtesy, she maintained a polite smile.

But instead of answering, the man slowly pulled a black marker from his pocket.

Amiya initially thought the man wanted an autograph, but after waiting a moment, he still hadn’t taken out any paper.

This piqued her curiosity. What did this young man in front of her want? She couldn’t help but ask again,

"Are you looking for an autograph, sir?"

The young man remained silent.

Instead, he placed the ballpoint pen in front of her and, with a flick of his wrist, transformed it into a vivid blue rose.

"Is this magic?" Amiya watched him with interest, sensing that his intentions went beyond simply performing a trick for her.

"What is this?" Amiya frowned, a sense of unease creeping over her.

"The Ocean’s Heart on you..."
