Being Lovey-Dovey Every Day

Jiang Qing nodded.

That was indeed true. If Young Master Lin had been ten seconds later, she probably would have been dead.

Young Master Lin had saved her life.

"Secretary Jiang, what kind of ability does Young Master Lin have that even when Boss Su has an episode, she can’t bring herself to hurt him?" another bodyguard asked curiously.

When she has an episode, Boss Su recognizes no one—not even family.

She’s even lashed out at her own grandfather before.

But the first time she saw Young Master Lin during an episode, not only did she refrain from hurting him, she was also drawn to his looks. She led him into a room and had her way with him.

"Maybe it’s the ultimate expression of love," Jiang Qing replied.

That could very well be the case.

The bodyguard nodded.

Boss Su truly loved Young Master Lin to the extreme.

Fifteen minutes later, more bodyguards arrived.

"Secretary Jiang," they greeted respectfully.

"Mm," Jiang Qing nodded. "Boss Su and Young Master Lin probably won’t be coming out of the room anytime soon. Stand guard here and ensure their safety."

"As for those of you who are injured, go to the hospital for treatment."

She needed to go too—to get herself properly checked.

This was the first time she’d been so badly hurt, and by her own boss, no less.

"Yes," the bodyguards acknowledged.

They followed Jiang Qing in a grand procession down to the first floor.

The receptionist’s eyes widened again. "!!!"

Wasn’t that Secretary Jiang and Boss Su’s entourage of bodyguards?

Why were they all bruised and limping?

Who had beaten them up?

The receptionist was burning with curiosity but didn’t dare ask.

Meanwhile, her group chat with her friends was buzzing with speculation about the possibility of Lin Xuan and Su Hua being together.

Eventually, they started making wishes:

[If Boss Su and Lin Xuan are really a couple, I’m willing to lose ten pounds of fat!]

[You’re so stingy! If they’re together, I’ll lose twenty!]

[I’ll lose thirty!]

The receptionist rested her chin on her hand, lost in thought.

Lin Xuan had been in the hotel for an hour now, and neither he nor Boss Su had come down yet. What were they doing?

Could it be…?

Her eyes sparkled.

If it was what she was imagining, she’d be laughing in her sleep!

Three hours later, Lin Xuan was completely drained, and Su Hua lay fast asleep in his arms.

Her face was flushed, her lips red and slightly swollen.

Having just gone through an intense round of passion, she exuded a unique allure.

Like during her previous episodes, Su Hua had transformed into a wild, unstoppable force—though this time, it hadn’t lasted as long.

Even so, Lin Xuan was utterly exhausted.

He let out a long sigh.

He was so tired.

This version of Hua was more than he could handle.

After resting for a while, Lin Xuan got out of bed, dressed Su Hua, then scooped her up in a princess carry and walked out.

"Young Master—" A bodyguard started to speak, but Lin Xuan shook his head.

The bodyguard glanced at Su Hua in his arms and immediately understood.

He nodded.

The rest of the bodyguards fell into formation around them, ensuring their safety.

The receptionist was struggling to stay awake, propping her eyelids open with her fingers.

Then—

A group of people emerged from the stairwell.

The receptionist glanced in their direction, and the sight jolted her fully awake.

What was she seeing?

Lin Xuan was carrying Boss Su in his arms! And was that a fresh bite mark on his lip?

She was sure that wound hadn’t been there when he first entered the hotel.

Thinking she must be mistaken, she rubbed her eyes.

But no—Lin Xuan was still holding Su Hua!

It was real!

The receptionist clapped a hand over her mouth, barely suppressing a scream of excitement.

Ahhhh!

It was exactly as she’d imagined! Her ship was real!

Ahhhh!!!

If not for her last shred of self-control, she would’ve jumped up and down right then.

At Night Garden, Old Master Su sat on the living room sofa, leisurely sipping tea.

"Old Wang," he said, "how are my granddaughter and her young man getting along?"

Butler Wang smiled warmly. "Don’t worry, Old Master. They’re doing wonderfully—always glued to each other. I’ve never even seen them argue."

They say couples hit a rough patch after about a year together.

But given how those two were, it seemed like they’d never experience such a phase.

"Good, good," Old Master Su nodded in satisfaction.

Then, as if remembering something, he paused mid-sip and set his cup down.

"Tell me," he said, puzzled, "if they’re so inseparable, why hasn’t my dear granddaughter gotten pregnant yet?"

"I don’t know either," Butler Wang admitted, shaking his head.

He’d been wondering the same thing.

By all logic, the young mistress should have been pregnant by now. Yet, there was still no sign of it.

"No," Old Master Su muttered to himself, "I must have the two of them go for a check-up soon to see if there’s something wrong with their health. Otherwise, why haven’t they had a child after all this time?"

If things continued like this, when would he ever get to hold his precious great-grandchild? Stuck alone in that old mansion day after day, he was bored out of his mind—all he wanted was for Su Hua to give him a sweet little great-grandchild to dote on.

"Speaking of which," Old Master Su frowned deeply and asked, "how is it that after dating for so long, Su Hua and Lin Xuan still haven’t gotten married?"

They needed to hurry up and tie the knot.

Su Hua had always been cold and distant, never willing to get close to any man. Now that she’d finally taken a liking to Lin Xuan and was so affectionate with him, it was clear she was serious.

His granddaughter was the type who, once she fell for a man, would stay devoted for life. She had probably already decided Lin Xuan was the one for her.

If they didn’t use marriage to keep him tied down, what if he grew tired of Su Hua someday and ran off? Wouldn’t that leave his granddaughter to suffer as a lonely widow?

"Old Master, I don’t think they’re quite ready for marriage yet," Butler Wang interjected.

"What do you mean, not ready?" Old Master Su huffed, his beard bristling. "They’re a perfect match—talented, beautiful, and deeply in love. What could possibly be unsuitable?"

Butler Wang frowned. "Old Master, have you forgotten? There are many people eyeing Miss Su and Su Corporation with ill intent. If they find out Young Master Lin and Boss Su are married, they might target him."

"Miss Su might be delaying marriage out of concern for Young Master Lin’s safety," Butler Wang speculated.

If she didn’t love him so much, she would have married him by now.
