Little Journey to the West 014

“If it’s someone we know, then it’s easy enough. I wish you great success on your journey to obtain the scriptures, honored kings!” The Scorpion Demoness raised her cup with both hands and downed it in one gulp.

Sun Wukong didn’t even acknowledge her. “Sworn brothers? What nonsense. When that Old Tathagata pinned me under the mountain all those years, not one of them came to see me.”

He paused, a thought striking him.

“If they were really my brothers, they’d have looked after my monkey subjects on Flower-Fruit Mountain while I was trapped. And what happened? Nothing!”

“Sworn brothers, my ass. They’re all buddies when the sun’s shining, but when trouble hits, they scatter faster than a flock of birds!” Sun Wukong grabbed the wine jug and took a big swig.

The Scorpion Demoness looked a bit awkward.

“If the relationship’s sour… then Red Boy’s Samadhi True Fire is no joke. Once it touches you, it can’t be put out…”

“Spare me the lecture. I got a taste of that in Lord Lao’s furnace!” Sun Wukong snorted coldly. “He’s just a brat! I’ll show him what I’m made of!”

Fang Zhiyi, however, thought for a moment and then shot a glance at the Eight-tailed Fox.

Confused, the Eight-tailed Fox glanced at the drinking Monkey and sidled up to Fang Zhiyi. “Boss, what’s up?”

“I need you to handle something.” Fang Zhiyi narrowed his eyes.

The midday sun blazed overhead.

A massive figure sat in a chair, his back alone making anyone who looked feel suffocated. Bull Demon King stared at the calm monkey before him and let out a deep, rumbling laugh. “Haha, worthy brother, I heard someone spotted you earlier and thought it was an impostor. Never expected you’d actually show up.”

Sun Wukong picked at his ear. “Sounds like you’re not too happy I’m out.”

Bull Demon King choked. “Not at all! Not at all! I couldn’t be more delighted! I’ll have food and drink prepared right away—let’s revel together, brothers!”

Sun Wukong frowned. “No need.”

“Oh?” Bull Demon King studied the much smaller monkey, unsure of his intentions.

“I’ll let bygones be bygones. But I’m here today to talk business.”

“Speak, brother! No need for formalities between us!” Bull Demon King put on a grand air.

Sun Wukong smirked. “One thing: I need to cross the Flaming Mountains. Your son’s in the way.”

Bull Demon King paused, then frowned. “Brother, you know my boy’s always been unruly. I’m at my wit’s end with him…”

“At your wit’s end, or just unwilling to act?” Sun Wukong asked.

“Now that’s not fair, brother.”

“Enough with the ‘brother’ talk!” Sun Wukong locked eyes with him but, recalling Fang Zhiyi’s words, took a deep breath and held back.

“We’ve got no backup. Can’t call for reinforcements. We’re on our own. Use your head before your fists.”

“That Old Bull’s sly. You think he’ll just step aside without a fight?”

“Then we give him an offer he can’t refuse.”

With a crisp clink, Sun Wukong tossed out a delicate trinket. Bull Demon King curiously picked it up and examined it.

“That’s the hairpin I gave the princess!” His massive frame shot up from the chair, and in an instant, murderous intent flooded the cave.

But Sun Wukong remained unruffled. “Good eyes. I was afraid you wouldn’t recognize it.”

“Monkey! And I treated you like a brother! You dared to lay a hand on the Jade-Faced Princess?” Bull Demon King was clearly furious.

“Relax. She’s perfectly safe.” Sun Wukong grew even more at ease. Fang Zhiyi had guessed right—this Old Bull really cared about that fox demon.

“Monkey, don’t think grabbing her will let you threaten me! I’ll be honest with you! My boy is blocking the way on orders from the Bodhisattva. If you know what’s good for you, turn right around and go back! You’ve already been crushed for centuries—surely you know the score!” Bull Demon King dropped all pretense.

Sun Wukong was taken aback. He wasn’t surprised that the Bodhisattvas had a hand in this, but his respect for Fang Zhiyi grew—he’d already figured it out.

Seeing Sun Wukong’s silence, Bull Demon King grew smug. “Monkey, just crawl back under Five Fingers Mountain. Everyone’s happy. Otherwise, no one can protect you.”

Sun Wukong laughed. “Well, well. Who’d have thought the Great Sage Equaling Heaven would stoop to running errands for a Bodhisattva?”

Bull Demon King said nothing, just clenched the hairpin and stared daggers at Sun Wukong.

“I was planning to fight you, but someone told me not to.” Sun Wukong’s tone was light. “I’m just here to deliver a message.”

“What message?” Bull Demon King seethed.

“That Jade-Faced Princess? She’s fine for now, since she’s my sister-in-law, after all. But in about an hour, my people will deliver her straight to your wife’s cave.”

Bull Demon King’s pupils shrank.

“Someone told me: when the first wife meets the concubine, neither gives an inch. Old Bull, what do you think happens next?”

Sweat beaded on Bull Demon King’s forehead.

“Brother, brother, don’t joke! This is no laughing matter!”

“I told you, I’m just the messenger.” Sun Wukong slumped back in the chair. “You know I’m no good at scheming.”

“That Little Brat! How dare he block your path! Sounds like his hide’s itching!” Bull Demon King puffed out his chest, full of righteous indignation. “Say no more, brother! I’ll go teach him a lesson with a father’s love!”

So what if the Bodhisattva ordered it? Could a father not discipline his own son?

But when he rushed to the Fire-Cloud Cave, he found it surrounded.

A horde of fearsome demons, banners bearing the name “Tripitaka” fluttering, had completely encircled the cave. Red Boy, never having seen such a sight, simply barred the door, counting on his Samadhi True Fire to keep them out.

The two sides were locked in a standoff.

Then Bull Demon King descended from the sky.

He immediately spotted the monk leading the pack. Bull Demon King was baffled—this was the scripture pilgrim? The man lounged in a sedan, a crowd of demons clustering around him like stars around the moon. With this kind of entourage, the entire eastern demon realm might have emptied out! Was this guy really not some demon king in disguise?

Sun Wukong landed right after him, ambled over to Fang Zhiyi, and shot him a wink.

Bull Demon King started to speak, but Sun Wukong raised a few fingers and slowly bent one down. The meaning was obvious—a countdown to disaster. Remembering that his mistress was about to meet his wife, Bull Demon King cast aside all hesitation.

He swallowed hard.

“Open the door! It’s your father!”

“Ha! And I’m your father! You looking for a beating? Come on in if you dare! I’m not afraid of anyone!”

The Day I Died, the Whole Sect Watched My Senior Sister Go on a Rampage

ive and Ruthless] Before his transmigration, Ye Xuan was playing a game called "Severing Emotions to Attain the Dao." The game's core wasn't about leveling up by fighting monsters, but about conquering various "bad women" with wicked personalities and cold, fickle natures. There was only one method to conquer them: stay unwaveringly by their side, then die at a critical moment, driving them to madness after losing the protagonist. The higher their level of regret, the higher the player's score. To dominate the server, Ye Xuan conquered all the bad women. In the early stages, he showered them with boundless tenderness, only to choose to sacrifice himself for them later, making them weep bitterly and drown in regret. Among them were: Xia Lengyue, the unfaithful immortal wife who chased after powerful men and discarded her husband like trash. Ye Qingcheng, the Demonic Venerable of the Joyous Union Sect, who appeared pure and innocent but was, in reality, promiscuous. Wu Lingxiao, the Empress of the Great Xia Dynasty, who lusted after men and loved maintaining a harem. Bai Qiangu of the Endless Demonic Sect: a bloodthirsty mass murderer. However, when the protagonist transmigrated into the game world, he made a horrifying discovery. Eight hundred years had already passed. The bad women he had conquered had now each become deities and revered ancestors. Faced with the endless stream of toxic women coming for him, Ye Xuan could only rely on his god-tier acting skills to carve a path of survival through this world of treacherous women.
