Does this kind of thing really have such great appeal

Seeing Jiang Ningshu react so strongly, Nangong Xiyun was delighted and casually remarked,

"What’s the big deal? You’ve been with Su Luo for so long already—you’ve talked about everything there is to talk about. A little more time won’t make a difference."

"You don’t understand. If I don’t talk to him for a day, I feel completely out of sorts."

The fact that Jiang Ningshu hadn’t interfered with Nangong Xiyun earlier was already giving her face.

Who would’ve thought Nangong Xiyun wouldn’t know when to stop and would come back so soon?

Nangong Xiyun paid no attention to Jiang Ningshu’s words and instead asked, "Since when did you develop this kind of ‘illness’?"

"Compared to you, I’m hardly the sick one. You’re like a wolf or a tiger—shameless!"

"Thanks for the compliment. But you can’t stop me."

"Looks like you’re asking for a beating."

Nangong Xiyun, however, showed no intention of fighting. "Tsk tsk, do you really want to disturb Little Yu right now?"

At that moment, Su Luo and Little Yu were inside a hastily constructed room.

Jiang Ningshu fell silent. She got along well with Little Yu, and disturbing her now would indeed be inconsiderate.

Moreover, whenever they spent time together, minor conflicts would arise, but Little Yu always managed to tolerate her.

It would be even worse to interrupt them now.

Fine.

Suddenly, Jiang Ningshu felt something off inside her body, but upon closer inspection, everything seemed normal.

An illusion?

Impossible. She couldn’t have imagined something like this.

Yet no matter how she checked, she found nothing wrong. It made no sense.

After that, Nangong Xiyun and Jiang Ningshu barely spoke to each other.

Some time later, Little Yu finally emerged, only to find both Nangong Xiyun and Jiang Ningshu staring at her.

Instantly, she felt a little embarrassed.

Then she scurried away, needing some time to cool off.

Su Luo came out shortly after.

Though his complexion wasn’t great, he still walked with steady steps, head held high.

"Su Luo, you’re really something," Jiang Ningshu said with a sarcastic tone.

"Ahem, you can’t entirely blame me for this."

Su Luo felt it was better not to elaborate—some things were better left unsaid.

"That’s right, it’s all my fault," Nangong Xiyun added with a pout.

"It’s not your fault either."

Nangong Xiyun then switched to a cheerful expression. "Exactly. That means no one’s at fault. Jiang Ningshu, you’re just making a fuss over nothing."

"You’ve got quite the mouth," Jiang Ningshu said, exasperated. She hadn’t meant it seriously—it was just a joke.

"Xiyun, have you finished your sect duties?" Su Luo changed the subject.

"Halfway. But I realized Li Siyi handles things so well that there’s barely anything left for me to do, so I sneaked out."

Su Luo couldn’t help but tease, "That’s incredibly irresponsible of you."

"What can I do? My disciple is too capable. Though I admit I’m being irresponsible—why don’t you come to the Seven Stars Sword Sect with me?"

"Do you even remember who I am? How could I possibly go to the Seven Stars Sword Sect?"

Su Luo shook his head—this was no time for reckless ideas.

But Nangong Xiyun confidently replied, "You can. Your concealment abilities are excellent, and with me protecting you, no one will dare harm you."

Nangong Xiyun was now at the Great Ascension stage and a key figure in the Seven Stars Sword Sect. She could practically strut around the sect without a care.

"But it might damage your reputation."

"I don’t really care about that."

"We’ll see."

Su Luo was actually tempted—mainly because he wanted to see Li Siyi.

The Heavenly Demon Sect had gathered quite a few members lately, and once the time was right, they could publicly announce the rebirth of the new Heavenly Demon Sect.

So, for now, he didn’t have much to do.

"If you two go to the Seven Stars Sword Sect, what about me?" Jiang Ningshu interjected.

"You can come too," Nangong Xiyun said.

"How can you say that so casually? I’m the former Demon Lord!"

"So what? If you step out of line, Su Luo and I will deal with you together."

"So you’re setting a trap for me, huh?"

"You don’t have to fall into it. Just visit the Seven Stars Sword Sect normally, and nothing will happen."

Jiang Ningshu thought about it—it did make sense. She was just going to visit, not cause trouble.

Nangong Xiyun nodded. "Take your time to think it over."

"Alright, enough talking. Su Luo, come with me."

Nangong Xiyun grabbed Su Luo’s hand and pulled him back toward the room.

Jiang Ningshu, you can’t stop me now—we’ve already had our chat.

Jiang Ningshu suddenly realized—what did she mean, "enough talking"? There was never enough time when it came to Su Luo.

"Nangong Xiyun, is this really necessary?"

"Ah, opportunities like this are rare. It’s been so long since I last touched Su Luo."

And with that, Su Luo was dragged back into the room.

Jiang Ningshu was tempted to blast the room apart with a demonic energy blast.

But in the end, she held back.

Inside the room.

"Weren’t we supposed to go to the Seven Stars Sword Sect?"

"There’s no rush."

"Xiyun, you’ve become way too enthusiastic."

Nangong Xiyun reflected on herself—why had she become like this?

Perhaps it was true what they said: familiarity breeds fondness.

Over time, deep emotions had developed between them.

Their journey together had gone through several stages—from secretly observing him, to becoming "A-Yun," and finally, after her identity was exposed.

At every stage, countless things had happened between her and Su Luo.

The memories were still vivid.

"Why the sudden passion? Maybe it's just your charm, Su Luo." Nangong Xiyun kissed Su Luo.

Enough talking—time for action.

Su Luo wanted to resist, but her body wouldn’t obey.

"You don’t like it?" Nangong Xiyun paused.

"I do."

What else could Su Luo say? Might as well go all in.

......

Jiang Ningshu stared blankly at the room.

Great. Now who knows how long this will take? Hopefully, Little Yu won’t pick up any ideas.

Will this ever end?

It has to—Su Luo’s body won’t hold up.

Even so, Jiang Ningshu wished Nangong Xiyun hadn’t come back at all.

Causing trouble the moment she returns—Jiang Ningshu just couldn’t understand it.

How could something like this turn a mighty Great Ascension Realm expert into... this?

Unfathomable.

After a while, Little Yu managed to calm herself down.

She hadn’t expected to be so bold, seeking out Su Luo even with Nangong Xiyun and Jiang Ningshu around.

But seeing how Nangong Xiyun didn’t seem to mind, she’d been influenced a little.

Still, it’s better not to do this too often—it’s too intense.

Little Yu returned, only to find Jiang Ningshu alone outside. A quick glance told her everything.

"They’re at it again?" she asked, incredulous.

She loved Su Luo, but not this frequently.

She couldn’t grasp why Nangong Xiyun was so eager—hadn’t it just happened?

Jiang Ningshu shook her head.

"Exactly. If you don’t get it, neither do I. Is this really that addictive? Little Yu, what do you think?"

Little Yu was the only reference she had—Jiang Ningshu hadn’t been with Su Luo that way yet.

Little Yu didn’t answer aloud, but in her heart, she knew.

It is.

The question made her recall her own behavior earlier.

It was intoxicating.
