The Seven-Star Sword Sect Attacks

The West Extreme Demon Lord held no affection for the Heavenly Demon Sect. In fact, he had targeted them before, having assassinated 33 of their key figures to date.

Those who remained were either unimportant, not worth the effort, or simply beyond his ability to eliminate.

Heavenly Demon Sect... you’re on your own now.

The Right Envoy cast one last glance in the direction of the Left Envoy.

After working together for so long, parting ways so abruptly was truly regrettable.

But the greatest regret was missing the look on the Left Envoy’s face when he realized they had abandoned him—that would have been priceless.

The thought alone made the Right Envoy consider staying behind just to witness it.

But in the end, he dismissed the idea. Best not to risk any unexpected complications.

The Heavenly Demon Sect won’t survive this time, the Right Envoy sneered coldly.

Drop dead, Left Envoy.

You, as the Demon Sovereign? What a joke...

...

The Left Envoy remained seated on his throne, while the East Extreme Demon Lord returned after a brief absence.

Little Yu’s version of Su Luo had also arrived.

"Have they left?" Nangong Xiyun asked, unable to sense their departure since the Right Envoy and his allies had concealed their movements well.

"Most likely."

Su Luo wasn’t particularly surprised. This was how the story went—though the Heavenly Demon Sect would fall, these individuals wouldn’t meet simple deaths.

They were reserved for Lin Xuan to slay personally once his strength grew.

Such was the cycle of recycling villains.

But then Su Luo froze. The strongest combatants left in the Heavenly Demon Sect were now all on their side.

Did this count as becoming the Demon Sovereign ahead of schedule?

Still, the act had to go on.

"The Seven Stars Sword Sect should be arriving soon. Prepare yourselves."

There was nothing more to discuss—they had known the outcome from the start.

Little Yu nodded in understanding; she knew what to do.

Nangong Xiyun also readied herself, knowing she would soon be fighting.

Meanwhile, the Seven Stars Sword Sect advanced smoothly through the Nightshade Forest, encountering no resistance. Traps were either avoided or dismantled effortlessly.

With all the intelligence gathered, what challenge remained?

Heavenly Demon Sect members who tried to block their path were swiftly cut down.

This was, by far, their smoothest operation yet.

The deeper they went, the stronger the remaining Heavenly Demon Sect forces became.

Finally, the Seven Stars Sword Sect reached the chamber of the Left Envoy, where the last of the sect’s members had gathered.

"Heavenly Demon Sect, today marks your end."

"We’ve surrounded this place. There’s no escape."

"Surrender now, and we’ll grant you the mercy of intact corpses."

This time, the Seven Stars Sword Sect was determined to eradicate this scourge from the cultivation world once and for all.

Outside the chamber stood the East Extreme Demon Lord and the North End Demon Lord.

The North End Demon Lord scoffed, "Who dies today remains to be seen. Our Demon Sovereign has one final trump card—you’re the ones who won’t leave alive."

This was a deliberate message.

Had the Right Envoy been present, the North End Demon Lord would never have spoken so obviously.

But the East Extreme Demon Lord, known for his laziness, wouldn’t overthink such a statement.

Still, the North End Demon Lord wondered—where were the Right Envoy and the West Extreme Demon Lord at such a critical moment?

Those who knew the North End Demon Lord’s true allegiance caught the implication.

"Attack!"

They had to stop the Left Envoy from activating his final move.

At that moment, Little Yu’s Su Luo appeared, blocking Lin Xuan’s path.

As per the script, Su Luo would face Lin Xuan in battle.

This time, Su Luo had grown stronger—having previously been corrupted by the Fire Fiend Great Emperor, she had since harnessed new demonic powers from the experience.

Her strength had risen further.

"Is this the end?" Lin Xuan mused, hinting that Su Luo likely knew the Heavenly Demon Sect’s dire situation.

But Little Yu stuck to her lines: "Lin Xuan, this time I will defeat you. Do you know why?"

"Surely you don’t believe the Heavenly Demon Sect can survive this?" Lin Xuan was incredulous. Could they still turn the tide? Was this trump card truly so formidable?

"Because my power has reached new heights!" Su Luo continued her scripted monologue before launching her attack.

Three rounds of intense combat later, Su Luo was defeated—then vanished mysteriously.

This battle wasn’t about her, but the Left Envoy and the Heavenly Demon Sect.

Even if Lin Xuan was no match for the Left Envoy, he had to play his part and make a significant impact.

The battle raged on, but the Heavenly Demon Sect members held their ground, guarding the chamber and preventing any intrusion.

The East Extreme Demon Lord and the North End Demon Lord stood side by side, barring the way.

Suddenly, the East Extreme Demon Lord’s usual lazy demeanor shifted—his eyes gleamed with excitement. "A scene like this is rare indeed."

"You’re acting strange. Since when do you care about anything?" the North End Demon Lord remarked.

"Because nothing usually feels this thrilling," the East Extreme Demon Lord grinned, his expression suggesting even he believed the Heavenly Demon Sect was doomed.

Yet that very realization exhilarated him.

"I don’t share your taste for excitement," the North End Demon Lord muttered. He had considered ambushing the East Extreme Demon Lord—normally an easy target when caught off guard.

But with the Left Envoy still inside, he decided to wait.

The two Demon Lords struggled to hold back the Seven Stars Sword Sect’s assault.

"Where are the Right Envoy and the West Extreme Demon Lord?" the North End Demon Lord demanded.

A remaining Heavenly Demon Sect member answered, "The Right Envoy and the West Extreme Demon Lord are preparing a surprise attack. They’ll appear when the time is right."

This was one of the Right Envoy’s loyalists, left behind to deliver this taunt and infuriate the Left Envoy.

The North End Demon Lord was frustrated. Without the Right Envoy and the West Extreme Demon Lord, the burden fell heavily on him.

He nearly revealed his true allegiance and joined the Seven Stars Sword Sect outright.

But he resisted—maintaining his cover for a well-timed betrayal would yield greater rewards.

The East Extreme Demon Lord erupted with terrifying power, engaging the Seven Stars Sword Sect’s elites head-on.

He was no longer holding back.

In his usual lazy state, he was harmless—but when serious, he became a nightmare.

Meanwhile, the North End Demon Lord took the opportunity to slack off, conserving his strength for the eventual strike against the Left Envoy.

Of course, his "slacking" was a delicate act, coordinated with the Seven Stars Sword Sect Leader.

For a time, the East Extreme Demon Lord’s rampage kept all attackers at bay.

Truly fearsome.

Even the North End Demon Lord was surprised by how much the East Extreme Demon Lord had grown.

But while the East Extreme Demon Lord shone, the rest of the Heavenly Demon Sect crumbled.

Their losses mounted rapidly—without the Right Envoy and the West Extreme Demon Lord, the pressure was overwhelming.

As the battle dragged on, the East Extreme Demon Lord found himself besieged by increasing numbers.

Yet he fought on relentlessly.

Nangong Xiyun played her role flawlessly, her performance impeccable.

"Exhilarating... absolutely exhilarating!"

The East Extreme Demon Lord, once the sect’s laziest figure, now fought with unmatched fervor.

Just as the story dictated—no one could have predicted that the Heavenly Demon Sect’s most indifferent member would become its last, most devoted defender.
