Like an Arrow Striking

At the gates of Yunzhu City, a large crowd had gathered.

They were all there to welcome Di Haoao of the Emperor Heaven Sect.

Curiosity filled the air as people wondered what the members of the Emperor Heaven Sect were like.

Yunzhu City, a prosperous city under the jurisdiction of the Tian Guang Sect, was chosen as the venue for the wedding, a decision that carried significant prestige.

The alliance marriage of the Tian Guang Sect naturally invited renowned individuals and factions from all walks of life to attend.

Of course, the demonic factions were excluded.

The Seven Stars Sword Sect was also invited, and Lin Xuan, one of its representatives, stood by the roadside, waiting with the crowd for the arrival of the Emperor Heaven Sect.

Soon, they arrived.

Di Haoao walked at the forefront, seemingly unremarkable, but his steps were firm and carried an air of authority.

No one would have guessed that beneath such confidence lay a fragile heart.

Behind him was an elderly man, Elder Wei, the primary protector of Di Haoao.

With him present, no ordinary person could hope to harm Di Haoao.

Surrounding them were disciples of the Emperor Heaven Sect, each one appearing exceptionally talented.

Their arrival sparked cheers from the crowd.

The Tian Guang Sect had arranged the highest level of welcoming etiquette, clearly eager to solidify their alliance with the Emperor Heaven Sect.

Lin Xuan observed Di Haoao from an inconspicuous spot, curious about the legendary figure from the Emperor Heaven Sect.

He wasn’t the only one watching; the Seven Demonic Sons were also observing from the shadows.

“So, this is Di Haoao? He doesn’t seem all that impressive,” Xu Wuliang remarked based on his first impression.

“Indeed, he doesn’t. But I doubt we can handle the old man by his side,” Situ Ye said with a dark expression.

“If brute force won’t work, we’ll have to use our brains. From what I’ve heard, Di Haoao has delayed the marriage several times. There must be a reason. If we can uncover it, he’ll be easier to deal with,” Cui Baiquan suggested.

“Who asked for your opinion?” Qing Bukuang snapped at Cui Baiquan.

Cui Baiquan immediately fell silent, standing beside Shan Gui and refraining from further comment.

Qing Bukuang continued, “As we’ve already discussed, Su Luo, what’s your plan?”

He suddenly turned to Su Luo for an answer.

Su Luo replied, “I’ll pose as someone who’s suffered a failed marriage and pour my grievances to Di Haoao, hoping to dissuade him from going through with the wedding.”

“...That sounds rather ordinary. Do you think it’ll work?” Xu Wuliang questioned.

“What else do you expect me to do? Toss a few treasures at him and solve the problem?”

“Do you think I’m invincible? I can’t handle the old man by his side.”

“This is troublesome. If even you can’t use force, and I’m only good at brute strength, I’m even more useless,” Xu Wuliang muttered, itching to charge in and fight.

But that would be suicidal.

“Hehe, no worries. If you want to use force, go ahead,” a cheerful voice suddenly chimed in.

The Seven Demonic Sons immediately went on alert, but relaxed upon recognizing the newcomer.

“North End Demon Lord!”

The North End Demon Lord nodded. “So, what’s your plan?”

Qing Bukuang explained their strategy.

“Not bad, not bad at all. You truly live up to the name of the Seven Demonic Sons,” the North End Demon Lord praised.

Situ Ye, however, lamented, “The plan involving force might not work, though. I feel that’s the key to success.”

The North End Demon Lord replied, “Do you know why I’m here?”

Without waiting for an answer, he continued, “The Left Envoy sent me. So, go ahead and act boldly. I’ll keep an eye on you and ensure you don’t face any life-threatening danger.”

“Really? Does that mean we can take more drastic measures?” Situ Ye’s spirits lifted instantly.

He had thought he’d have no role to play in this mission.

The North End Demon Lord confirmed, “Go all out. I’ll handle any difficulties that arise.”

“Fantastic! Force it is, then!”

With the North End Demon Lord’s assurance, both Situ Ye and Xu Wuliang grew excited.

The North End Demon Lord maintained a cheerful facade, but in truth, he was merely playing along. He would act based on the situation.

Handle the difficulties? Sure, but if he couldn’t manage, that wasn’t his fault.

He had already learned the Seven Demonic Sons’ plan and intended to relay the information to Elder Wei to see how Elder Wei would respond.

If Elder Wei offered something satisfactory, he’d follow Elder Wei’s lead.

That was the North End Demon Lord’s mindset at the moment.

......

Su Luo entered Yunzhu City but had no immediate plans.

It wasn’t his turn to act yet.

Following the script, he needed to scout the area, observe Di Haoao, and gather intelligence.

Di Haoao’s alliance marriage was the hottest topic in Yunzhu City, and the man himself was under intense scrutiny. Gathering information about him would be a breeze.

But for now, there was no need for such efforts. He found a place to stay, choosing a room on a higher floor with a good view.

As he lounged leisurely, enjoying the scenery, he spotted Lin Xuan and his group.

“Can’t I see anyone else? Aside from the plot, I’d rather not see Lin Xuan.”

And then he did see someone else.

Li Siyi and Lian Xiao Yu were also there.

“They’ve come to join the excitement too.”

Just then, Yun entered. “Demon Lord Su, what’s the next move?”

“Nothing for now. Just stay put.”

He had only brought Yun along, leaving the rest of his subordinates behind.

“Understood.”

A competent subordinate knew not to ask too many questions.

Meanwhile, in the distance, Little Yu seemed to notice something and suddenly looked in Su Luo’s direction.

Though the distance was considerable, she was certain she recognized that figure.

“Excuse me, I need to step away for a moment.”

With that, Little Yu left abruptly.

Her companions were caught off guard.

“What’s gotten into Little Yu? She just left without a word.”

Li Siyi seemed to have an idea. “I think I know.”

“What?”

“Never mind. Let’s keep going. We still need to visit the Tian Guang Sect.”

Little Yu leapt several times, closing the distance to Su Luo.

The closer she got, the more certain she became.

Finally, like an arrow piercing through the clouds, she charged straight at Su Luo and collided with him.

Su Luo was knocked down, though it was only because he hadn’t defended himself.

As the dust settled, Su Luo remained on the ground, with Little Yu behind him.

“Little Yu, was that really necessary?”

“Su Luo, it’s been a while.”

“I was planning to look for you later, but you found me first.”

“Mhm, I’ve been training hard.”

At this moment, Yun spoke up, “Enemy attack! Protect Demon Lord Su!”

But she made no move to act.

Only then did Little Yu realize someone else was present and immediately felt embarrassed.

Yun sighed, “So, I’ve been ignored. I introduced myself before. You should remember, right?”

Little Yu’s face turned even redder. She didn’t remember.

“Alright, I get it. Demon Lord Su, should I leave?”

“Go ahead.”

“Wah, I’m so pitiful. The new love makes you forget the old.”

Yun dramatically exited, tears streaming.

What a performance.

Su Luo finally said, “Alright, get up.”

“Let me lie here a little longer.”
