Godfather, I'm Pregnant

Xu Mu wasn’t in a hurry to follow. The hotel was only a dozen or so stories tall.

With his 200-meter perception range, he could easily scan the entire building.

After waiting for about five minutes, Xu Mu noticed Chai Wang entering the top-floor luxury suite with another woman.

Only when the woman removed her trench coat and mask did Xu Mu recognize her.

It was none other than the popular actress, Song Luoluo.

She had previously endorsed Lin Yang’s weight-loss pills and had a notorious rivalry with Shen Wanning.

This meeting between the two was clearly secretive—there wasn’t even a bodyguard at the door.

But that made it easier for Xu Mu to infiltrate.

He grabbed his standard disguise—mask, hat, and sunglasses—before heading into the hotel.

If he were abroad, this getup might have drawn suspicion.

But in the safe and secure nation of Longguo, the front desk and security barely gave him a second glance.

Xu Mu had long since mastered all the skills of an assassin.

He exited the elevator on the 10th floor, then took the stairs all the way up to the 16th-floor penthouse.

From the stairwell on the 10th floor, he already knew the security camera was positioned right at the exit.

Xu Mu pushed the stairwell door open just enough to avoid being caught on camera.

Crack!

With a surge of his Gang Qi, he shattered the camera and swiftly moved into the hallway, stopping right outside Chai Wang’s door.

Xu Mu activated his Concealment Barrier, his body shimmering with a flowing, iridescent glow.

He had long since mastered this technique.

The colorful light enveloped not just his body but also his clothes, rendering both invisible.

He pulled out his phone and channeled a bit more Qi to extend the Concealment Barrier over it as well.

Once everything was set, he knocked on the door.

“Who is it?”

Song Luoluo cracked the door open, her mask back on.

Xu Mu stepped inside casually and stood to the side.

Song Luoluo peeked into the hallway before locking the door again. “Godfather, no one’s there.”

“Then come in.”

Chai Wang sat by the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at the cityscape outside, a cigar dangling from his lips. He glanced back at Song Luoluo.

Xu Mu stood nearby, surprised to learn that Chai Wang was Song Luoluo’s godfather.

No wonder she was so famous—clearly, he had been pulling the strings.

“Godfather, I’m pregnant.”

Song Luoluo walked back to Chai Wang and sat across from him.

Xu Mu immediately started recording—this was explosive news.

“Whose?”

Chai Wang’s expression didn’t change as he asked coolly.

At his age, he had gotten countless starlets pregnant—this was nothing new.

The world wasn’t short of beautiful women.

So many people wanted fame—why should the company promote you?

Because of your acting skills?

How many of the current A-list stars actually had any talent?

To Chai Wang, it all boiled down to one rule: Do what I say, and I’ll make you famous.

“Godfather, what are you saying? I’ve never let another man touch me besides you.”

Song Luoluo pouted.

“Bullshit. You wouldn’t have met me without someone introducing you. And why would they do that?”

Chai Wang gave her a sidelong glance. “Don’t think getting your hymen ‘repaired’ at some clinic fools anyone.”

“Godfather, the baby really is yours.”

Song Luoluo lowered her head, not daring to breathe too loudly.

Chai Wang was a seasoned player—he saw right through her.

She had started as an extra, delivering her resume to an assistant director.

The man had taken one look at her and bluntly offered her a minor role—if she became his girlfriend.

Song Luoluo had agreed immediately. Her dream was stardom.

With the assistant director’s help, she landed a few decent roles before catching the eye of a veteran agent.

She spent two years as his mistress before he introduced her to Chai Wang, the entertainment industry’s heavyweight.

“Two choices. First, get rid of it. Second, I’ll find you a male celebrity to marry.”

Chai Wang’s tone was indifferent.

“I don’t want to abort… It’s our flesh and blood.”

Song Luoluo stole a glance at him before lowering her head again.

Chai Wang had seen it all before. He knew exactly what she was after.

Our flesh and blood? What did she want from him?

His old-man musk?

No—she wanted his money and influence.

If she aborted, she’d lose her leverage.

Chai Wang could easily drop her later, and faded stars often met ugly fates.

But if she had his child, he’d have no choice but to keep supporting her.

“Fine. After this, I’ll send you three male stars. Pick one.”

Chai Wang looked at her. “Since you’re getting married, we won’t have much time together after this. Let’s enjoy ourselves today.”

“Okay.”

Song Luoluo smiled seductively. “Godfather, go take a shower first.”

“No. You clean me up.”

Chai Wang pinched her chin.

Xu Mu kept recording but was ready to leave.

Holding his phone up for so long was making his arm ache.

He figured a few minutes of footage would be enough.

Then, suddenly, his eyes widened in disbelief.

What the—?

Already over?

Chai Wang exhaled. “Now that was a battle for the ages!”

“Godfather, you’re amazing!”

Song Luoluo gave him a thumbs-up. “You’re the best man I’ve ever been with.”

Xu Mu nearly laughed out loud. How could she say that with a straight face?

“I’m just getting old. Back in my prime, I was ten times stronger.”

Chai Wang smirked.

Xu Mu was stunned. Ten times?

So… a whole minute?

Even in his youth, he must’ve been mediocre.

The original villain Xu Mu’s physique could’ve crushed him back then.

But then again, not everyone had a near-1,000-point stamina stat like him.

Just then, Chai Wang’s phone rang.

He checked the caller ID and answered immediately. “Mr. Fang.”

Xu Mu carefully moved closer.

“Patriarch Chai, how are things progressing with the Xu family?” Fang Chu’s voice came through.

“Not easy. Our businesses don’t overlap. To compete with them, we’d have to start from scratch.”

Chai Wang spoke into the phone.

“I’m coming to see you. I have an idea.”

Fang Chu hung up without another word.

“I have to go. I’ll send you the three male stars’ details later.”

Chai Wang stood abruptly and headed for the door.

Xu Mu quickly stepped aside.

“Godfather, pick a handsome one for me!”

Song Luoluo called after him.

Chai Wang waved dismissively and left.

Alone, Song Luoluo checked her phone before tossing it onto the bed and heading to the bathroom.

Seizing the opportunity, Xu Mu approached and tapped the screen to keep it from locking.

He dialed his own number from her phone to save her contact, then deleted the call log.

At that moment, he flipped through Song Luoluo's phone and found that the videos and other contents appeared normal.

Suddenly, he noticed a private folder on Song Luoluo's device.

Xu Mu smirked—perhaps there was something interesting inside.

With enough incriminating material, he could even turn the tables on the Chai family and make Fang Chu the fool.

Just then, Xu Mu's phone buzzed with an incoming call. Luckily, he had already silenced it.

He pulled it out and glanced at the screen—it was Chen Xuan again. Had that woman from earlier tracked him down once more?
