I Shouldn't Have Offended Xu Mu

It's important to know that the human buttocks contain very dense muscle tissue.

The muscles are rich in blood vessels, allowing drugs to be rapidly absorbed through the bloodstream.

This is why, in the past, injections were often administered there when someone fell ill.

Swish!

Feeling the cut on her body, Yun Wu immediately retreated several meters.

She stared fixedly at Xu Mu, her mind already roiling with shock.

Though she didn’t want to admit it, she knew very well that she couldn’t defeat him in a direct fight.

But as an assassin, she rarely needed to engage in head-on combat.

Ambushes and assassinations were where their true terror lay.

With that thought, Yun Wu turned and fled toward the distant forest—she would have to find another opportunity later.

Xu Mu couldn’t possibly let her escape, especially since the drug had already entered her system.

Her running was actually ideal—the rapid movement would accelerate her blood circulation, allowing the effects of the Spring Night Grass to spread through her body even faster.

He expanded his senses, keeping a close watch on the direction Yun Wu had fled, chasing relentlessly behind her.

...

After running for nearly five minutes, Yun Wu noticed her heart pounding wildly, her breathing growing ragged.

Beads of sweat rolled down her forehead.

She didn’t understand what was happening—she hadn’t suffered any serious injuries, just a couple of superficial cuts.

Moreover, her fight with Xu Mu hadn’t lasted long, nor had she expended much of her Qi.

Something was wrong!

Gasping for air, Yun Wu realized her limbs were beginning to disobey her.

With a thud, she collapsed to the ground.

"Could it be...?"

As she spoke, Yun Wu tore open her sleeve to inspect the wound on her arm.

She had already guessed—Xu Mu’s dagger must have been poisoned.

Her face paled. She wasn’t sure what kind of poison it was, but its effects were clearly meant to immobilize her.

She glanced back but saw no sign of Xu Mu. Quickly scanning her surroundings, she spotted a patch of thick fallen leaves.

She dug into the pile, lay down inside, and covered herself with the surrounding foliage.

Yun Wu didn’t understand why, but she suddenly noticed an unusual sensation in her body.

Could it be...?

A shudder of fear ran through her.

"Ah, I wonder where she went. Might as well take a piss first."

Xu Mu’s voice sounded nearby as he pretended to unbuckle his belt.

Yun Wu burst out from the leaves, lunging at him.

But what awaited her were two silver needles.

She yanked the needles from her arm and tried to run again.

After just a few steps, she stumbled and fell once more.

Xu Mu strolled over leisurely, hands in his pockets, until he stood right in front of her.

Yun Wu looked up at him, trying desperately to clench her fists.

But she found her entire body numb, her fingers refusing to obey.

"What kind of poison did you use on me?" she demanded coldly.

"Spring Night Grass," Xu Mu replied bluntly.

"You—!"

Yun Wu had suspected as much, but she had never been exposed to this poison before and didn’t know its exact effects.

Now, she was experiencing them firsthand.

Regret flooded her—why hadn’t she left when Xu Mu had let her go earlier?

But it was too late now.

He was a man, and he had dosed her with this kind of drug. His intentions were unmistakable.

"Why didn’t you listen when I warned you?" Xu Mu crouched in front of her, gripping her chin.

"Don’t touch me!" Yun Wu reacted violently.

Xu Mu remembered—she hated men.

"I’ve heard a theory that women often say the opposite of what they mean. When they say 'no,' they really mean 'yes.'"

As he spoke, Xu Mu grabbed Yun Wu’s head and flipped her onto her back.

From her exposed arms, he could see goosebumps covering her skin.

Clearly, her aversion to men was deeply ingrained, even on a physiological level.

Xu Mu’s eyes widened slightly as he looked at her—even lying flat, her figure was impressive.

He had underestimated her.

"Xu Mu! I was wrong! I won’t try to kill you again—please, just let me go!" Yun Wu’s voice trembled with desperation.

She truly regretted ever crossing paths with him. She could have escaped earlier.

"I already gave you a chance," Xu Mu said flatly.

"Then just kill me!" Tears welled in Yun Wu’s eyes.

"Since death is inevitable either way, I might as well make use of you first."

As he spoke, Xu Mu drew his dagger and sliced open her black clothing from top to bottom.

"Xu Mu! You bastard!" Yun Wu sobbed, struggling weakly.

Not only was her body paralyzed, but her mind was also growing hazy, her thoughts muddled.

"Your logic is seriously flawed," Xu Mu remarked, looking at her impassively.

"You tried to kill me, I generously let you go, and instead of leaving, you came back for me. Now that I’ve got you under control, you call me a bastard?"

"If you’re going to kill me, just do it! What kind of man humiliates a woman?" Yun Wu shouted through her tears.

"I never claimed to be a gentleman. By the way, since you’re an assassin, I should check you for hidden weapons."

With that, Xu Mu began searching her.

His expression turned grave. "Good thing I was prepared. Hiding such dangerous weapons—if I hadn’t been careful, I’d have been finished!"

"Xu Mu!!" Yun Wu shuddered, writhing in disgust.

Suddenly, she went still. "Go ahead if you’re not afraid of catching something. I have... an illness."

"What a coincidence—so do I. Maybe our toxins will cancel each other out and cure us both." Xu Mu smirked.

Yun Wu was stunned. Tears streamed down her face—she never should have provoked Xu Mu.

"What will it take for you to let me go?" she cried.

"Honestly, I don’t really want to kill you."

Xu Mu suddenly pulled out his phone. "How about this—we’ll just film a little video."

"Film what?" Yun Wu asked.

Xu Mu dragged her to lean against a nearby tree.

Positioning himself beside her, he started recording with one hand.

Yun Wu turned her face away.

"No matter what I ask you, you’ll agree and answer with a smile," Xu Mu instructed calmly.

"Only then will I spare your life. And I promise I won’t lay a finger on you."

Hearing this, Yun Wu turned back to him. "You mean it?"

"My word is good," Xu Mu nodded.

"Fine!"

At this point, Yun Wu didn’t care—she just wanted to preserve her dignity.

"Baby, is this your first time playing in the forest?" Xu Mu grinned at her.

Yun Wu’s lips twitched, but she forced a smile. "Yes."

"Look at the camera!"

"Yes..."

"Am I strong?"

"Strong."

"Will you come back for more?"

"Yes."

...

Once the questions were done, Xu Mu put his phone away.

Yun Wu lay on the ground, her eyes icy as she glared at the dirt, wishing she could tear Xu Mu apart.

If that video ever got out, she’d rather die—she had to find a way to destroy it.

Xu Mu stood up and said, "As long as you don’t kill me from now on, I won’t release it. But if you dare to attack me again, I’ll make sure the other members of your organization see it first."

"You— Fine! I won’t kill you! I absolutely won’t!"

Yun Wu just wanted Xu Mu to leave immediately—she could barely hold herself back.

"I’ve heard this drug can easily fry your brain."

Xu Mu suddenly turned his gaze to Yun Wu.
