Xiao Gui and the two masked men beside him landed on the rooftop where Hathaway was.
Xiao Gui was just about to speak when he spotted Xu Mu below the building.
“I really didn’t expect someone at the mere Transcendent level like you to make it all the way here by riding along with the Holy Light race.”
Xiao Gui slipped both hands into the pockets of his coat. “Xu Mu, you sure are lucky!”
“What? Are you planning to kill me here?”
Xu Mu asked in an even tone.
Before Xiao Gui could respond, Hathaway spoke first. “Xu Mu is one of mine now. I advise you not to act rashly.”
“Hmph.”
Xiao Gui let out a cold snort before saying, “Xu Mu, my primary objective this time is to find the treasure. It’s not that I’m afraid of this member of the Holy Light race.”
With that, he and the two masked men beside him flew off into the distance.
Xu Mu knew, of course, that Xiao Gui wasn’t afraid of Hathaway.
He was the male lead, after all, and had already reached the fourth level of the World-Breaking Realm, while Hathaway had only just reached the third level.
What’s more, Xiao Gui had two powerful experts with him.
Even so, Xiao Gui was indeed a serious threat. His thinking was much more mature than Wu Tian’s.
“Judging from his appearance, he should also be a descendant of Yanhuang. How did you two become enemies?” Hathaway asked as she looked at Xu Mu.
“He was pursuing a woman, but because of my involvement, she gradually distanced herself from him. From then on, he held a grudge against me.”
Xu Mu gave a brief explanation. “By the way, I overheard the method for leaving the first formation from them.”
“I see. I didn’t expect us to get ahead of them.”
Hathaway spoke calmly.
“The formation inside the building must have held them up for quite some time.”
Xu Mu placed his hand against the building in front of him again, but no hands reached out from inside this time.
The door could be touched as well, so he immediately pushed it open.
Inside was an extremely simple structure. A wooden staircase on one side led to the second floor.
Xu Mu went upstairs and found a table with a seal resting on it.
It looked like the jade seals used by ancient emperors, though it was somewhat larger. The bottom was square, while the top was shaped like a semicircle. Its overall size and shape resembled a round eggplant.
Its size and design were surprisingly similar to the two seals Hathaway had found.
He immediately walked over and picked up the seal to examine it.
Then he pressed it onto the table and discovered that it stamped the oracle-bone character for “metal.”
He carefully examined the seal and found that it contained a formation.
Xu Mu had no idea what it was used for yet, but anything placed here was sure to be valuable, so he decided to put it away for now.
However, the moment he touched his spatial ring, Xu Mu was stunned. The seal could not be placed inside it.
He then opened his storage space and managed to put the seal away.
“Xu Mu, what did you find up there?” Hathaway called from below.
“I’m coming down.”
Xu Mu immediately jumped down and headed into another building. Without stopping, he went straight to the second floor and found another seal there.
He stamped it again. This time, it produced the character “West.”
This seal also contained a formation.
Xu Mu studied it carefully, then took out the other seal from his storage space.
When he placed the two seals neatly side by side, his expression suddenly changed. The formations on them could be joined together.
However, only one side fit together perfectly; the other three sides could not be connected.
Furthermore, after the two were joined, the longest outer edge formed a relatively complete section of the formation.
This led to a clear conclusion: there were four seals in total, and only by putting all four together could they form a complete formation.
Just then, Xu Mu sensed that Xiao Gui and the others had entered the building as well and were heading for the second floor.
Clearly, they had discovered the seals too.
“Hathaway!”
Xu Mu put the seal bearing the character “Metal” back into his storage space, then jumped down with the seal bearing the character “West” in his hand.
“What is it?” Hathaway asked.
“We need to hurry to the second floors of the other buildings and look for seals like this one!” Xu Mu said quickly. “Don’t ask questions yet. Just find them first!”
“Got it!”
Hathaway immediately headed into another building, while Xu Mu went to a different one.
There were more than a dozen buildings in total, all clustered within a two-kilometer radius. Xu Mu’s perception could easily cover the entire area.
Through his perception, Xu Mu discovered that after entering the buildings, neither of the two masked men found any seals.
That proved that not every one of the dozen or so buildings contained one.
While he was scanning the area, Xu Mu arrived at the second floor of another building, but there was nothing there either.
He immediately left and continued searching the other buildings.
“Xu Mu! I found one!” Hathaway shouted from a distance.
Xu Mu hurried to another building, where he found another seal as well.
There were only twelve buildings in the area, and within just twenty or thirty seconds, everyone had converged.
They each searched every building from top to bottom.
By then, Xiao Gui was holding two seals, while each of the two masked men held one.
Hathaway had also retreated to Xu Mu’s side, a seal in her hand.
Xu Mu had two seals in his hands, and with the ones hidden in his storage space, the two sides had eight in total.
“Xu Mu, hand over the seals you have,” Xiao Gui said indifferently.
Golden light flickered in Hathaway’s single eye. “Who do you think you are? I haven’t even asked you to hand the seals over to me!”
“As I said just now, I didn’t attack Xu Mu. It wasn’t because I fear your Radiant Light Clan. My only goal is the treasure,” Xiao Gui said coldly. “If nothing unexpected happens, four of them should be enough to form a key formation. Why don’t we share the characters written on the seals we have?”
“Exactly. As long as we put together the key, we can all leave this formation.”
The long-haired masked man among them stretched out a hand. “Hathaway, if we keep this up, people from the other three clans should be arriving soon. They’re all our competitors.”
Just as Hathaway was hesitating, several more people suddenly appeared on top of one of the distant buildings.
Seeing this, Xu Mu spoke first. “All right. Let’s expose the characters on the bottoms of our seals.”
As he spoke, he raised the two seals in his hands. He had already seen that both of them bore the character “West.”
Hathaway revealed hers as well. The character underneath was “Autumn.”
Xiao Gui also exposed the bottoms of his two seals. One bore the character “Autumn,” while the other bore “West.”
As for the remaining two masked men, they likewise had one “Autumn” and one “West.”
“Only Autumn and West?”
Xiao Gui frowned. “That means it won’t be so easy to get out.”
Xu Mu narrowed his eyes slightly. Hidden in his storage space was another seal bearing the character “Gold.” In other words, he was only missing one character.
At the same time, the people on the other side charged toward Xu Mu.
Leading them was none other than Brother Evil God, Wu Tian, with Zilan Yin of the Black Moon Clan behind him.
“Xu Mu! I didn’t expect you to get here first! This time, you absolutely won’t make it out alive!”
Wu Tian let out a furious roar.

ive and Ruthless] Before his transmigration, Ye Xuan was playing a game called "Severing Emotions to Attain the Dao." The game's core wasn't about leveling up by fighting monsters, but about conquering various "bad women" with wicked personalities and cold, fickle natures. There was only one method to conquer them: stay unwaveringly by their side, then die at a critical moment, driving them to madness after losing the protagonist. The higher their level of regret, the higher the player's score. To dominate the server, Ye Xuan conquered all the bad women. In the early stages, he showered them with boundless tenderness, only to choose to sacrifice himself for them later, making them weep bitterly and drown in regret. Among them were: Xia Lengyue, the unfaithful immortal wife who chased after powerful men and discarded her husband like trash. Ye Qingcheng, the Demonic Venerable of the Joyous Union Sect, who appeared pure and innocent but was, in reality, promiscuous. Wu Lingxiao, the Empress of the Great Xia Dynasty, who lusted after men and loved maintaining a harem. Bai Qiangu of the Endless Demonic Sect: a bloodthirsty mass murderer. However, when the protagonist transmigrated into the game world, he made a horrifying discovery. Eight hundred years had already passed. The bad women he had conquered had now each become deities and revered ancestors. Faced with the endless stream of toxic women coming for him, Ye Xuan could only rely on his god-tier acting skills to carve a path of survival through this world of treacherous women.

Over the course of sixty years, he began as the lowest kind of mine slave, struggling to survive amid mountains of corpses and seas of blood. By sheer chance, he eventually obtained the complete memories of a fallen Immortal King. Alchemy, medicine, formations, feng shui, physiognomy, artifact forging… Every great inheritance of the cultivation world was now his. But when he opened his eyes again, he discovered that ten full years had passed in the modern world. To pay for his treatment, his father had sold the family’s shop and house, leaving himself covered in lasting injuries and illness. His mother had cared for him day and night, and more than half of her hair had already turned white. His younger sister, who had been only fifteen back then, was now twenty-five. To help repay the family’s debts, she had been forced to lower her head and put on a smiling face in places of glittering lights and endless revelry. Only then did Chen Xuan understand that what he had lost was not merely ten years. He had lost the life his entire family was meant to have. The good news was that he had brought back the memories of an Immortal King’s entire lifetime. The bad news was that his soul had returned alone—his cultivation had not come with him. Spiritual energy was scarce, resources were depleted, and the modern world still had firearms, surveillance, capital, and laws. If he wanted to protect his family, break free from everyone’s control, and become truly invincible beneath the heavens, he would have to start all over again.
