Xu Mu nodded with a smile. The former patriarch of the Hanyu family was precisely the person the Sanitation Office had been dealing with.

“Then let’s not waste any time. Come back with me now.”

Xue Yingsi looked at Xu Mu. “You should disguise yourself a little. You’ve become rather well-known lately.”

In the end, all three of them donned black robes and left the area.

The two of them went to the edge of a cliff not far from the palace. A round white stone table stood right at the cliff’s edge.

They sat across from each other and waited in silence.

Before long, a woman appeared in the distance.

She wore a white dress, and her black hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, standing out against the white fabric.

When she saw Xu Mu and Chen Xuan, she noticed that both were wearing black robes that concealed their faces.

The woman walked over and questioned them.
