"I'm back..."
Luo Wei pushed open the door looking disheveled, his body covered in black soot, startling Evelyn.
"What happened to you?" she asked in surprise. "Weren't you supposed to be in class? Did the school explode?"
"I wish the school had exploded..." Luo Wei muttered while glancing at her.
Evelyn was lounging comfortably on the sofa in her sleepwear and slippers, doing her beauty treatment.
"You look quite comfortable," Luo Wei rolled his eyes.
Then, he began telling her about what had happened earlier that evening.
When she heard about him skipping class to go shopping with Helena, she showed a look of disdain. However, when she heard about another student's disappearance and the massive explosion caused by the airship crash, her eyes widened immediately.
"This has nothing to do with me!"
She hastily peeled off her face mask, rushing to clear her name.
"I know..." Luo Wei collapsed onto the sofa. "This has escalated to the level of court politics... if you had done it, it would actually be simpler..."
"Looking down on your teacher that much?" Evelyn crossed her arms, saying indignantly: "Catching me was just luck. Those stupid police would never have figured it out otherwise..."
Luo Wei gave her a helpless look, wondering why this woman's focus was so strange.
Evelyn stroked her smooth chin, also falling into thought.
"You think this was an assassination attempt targeting the Fifth Princess? Court intrigue?" she furrowed her delicate brows.
"There were so many wealthy nobles present. Why are you so certain this explosion was meant to kill just the Fifth Princess?"
"It just seems too coincidental..." Luo Wei pondered as well.
Though he couldn't rule out the possibility of assassination attempts on other nobles, it was hard not to connect the dots when the Fifth Princess had just returned and then this explosion happened...
Plus, there was one thing he couldn't tell Teacher Evelyn, which was the reason he was so certain.
That was — he was a player.
Luo Wei could see the quest notifications. Since she appeared along with the quest, he couldn't believe this had nothing to do with Ophelia.

Luo Wei leaned back on the sofa, appearing to be spacing out but actually looking at the interface that had appeared before his eyes.

However, the sudden switch
Wegner was the empire's name.
The Wegner Terror Incident meant that upcoming events would involve the entire empire, in other words...
Things had escalated.
Teacher Evelyn was still pondering over what had just happened, her fingers pinched together, eyes slightly rolled up as if doing mental calculations.
"Based on your description, assuming an explosion radius of one kilometer, calculating the energy released by one cubic Magic Crystal Stone..."
"Then..."
"The final result is..."
"234.53 cubic Magic Crystal Stones!!"
She looked at Luo Wei in shock, "Good heavens!!"
"You're amazing, teacher," Luo Wei quietly looked at her. "Calculating down to the decimals, very professional."
"Stop joking around!" She finally realized the gravity of the situation and said seriously:
"Such a massive explosion just to eliminate one Fifth Princess? Isn't that like using a cannon to shoot a mosquito?"
"I know the Fifth Princess must have strict security, but... but... couldn't they have used some other method..."
"Is there... some other conspiracy behind this..."
Luo Wei nodded slightly. He had considered these points too. The way the other party made such a big move seemed more like a provocative, arrogant mentality.
But the situation wasn't clear yet, so he needed to quietly observe subsequent developments.
As they discussed these serious matters, the atmosphere grew heavy.
Suddenly, Evelyn seemed to remember something.
"That monster of yours... uh.." she looked at Luo Wei, choosing her words carefully, "Where's that sister of yours? Didn't you come back together?"
Luo Wei secretly glanced at the half-open door, which he had deliberately left ajar.
Outside was pitch black except for dim streetlights, and Helena was nowhere to be seen.
She didn't want to come in.
Seeing Luo Wei's expression, Evelyn immediately understood.
She sneered, "Heh, afraid of being contained by you, that's why she doesn't dare come in."
"And here I thought she was so impressive, but now it seems she's nothing special..."
Luo Wei looked at her helplessly, thinking: Sis, could you lower your voice? She can hear you!!
Less than three seconds after Evelyn's mocking words, suddenly, rapid footsteps approached from outside.
Luo Wei tensed up and quickly turned around.
The door flew open, letting in a gust of cold wind.
Helena stood in the doorway with a gloomy gaze.
Meeting that gaze, Evelyn jumped up alertly, a blood-colored blade appearing in her hand.
She stared intently at the suddenly appeared Helena.
But she found that despite Helena's dangerous, cold expression, she remained motionless at the threshold, not stepping inside.
Seeing this, Evelyn burst out laughing.
Her previously alert demeanor relaxed, and she put away the blood-colored blade.
"What's wrong? Standing there like that, want to be our house security guard?"
Helena's tentacles suddenly burst forth, her gaze filled with killing intent.
"What did you say?"
"Your house?"
Her fists were tightly clenched; if looks could kill, Evelyn would have been torn to pieces and scattered to ashes by now...
"I've moved in, you know~" Evelyn suddenly felt mischievous and winked at Luo Wei suggestively.
"Your brother said so himself. I'm under his authority now, and I'm his tenant~"
"While you..." she curved her lips maliciously, "aren't anymore~"
"This is my home!!"
Helena was instantly enraged, almost stepping over the threshold.
"Um..." Luo Wei raised his hands awkwardly and innocently, "Don't be like this... please don't..."
He turned to glare fiercely at Evelyn, his eyes saying: Could you stop provoking her??
Then he slightly raised his hand, making a gesture as if threatening to use the containment command.
Evelyn blinked her eyes, showing an innocent and docile smile.
"I'll continue with my beauty treatment, you siblings carry on chatting."
However, as she turned away, that faint hint of a mischievous smile never left her lips.
Meanwhile, Luo Wei helplessly walked towards the door, just about to comfort the angry Helena.
Helena's tentacles pushed him aside, as she stared even more angrily at Evelyn's back.
She looked her up and down.
"You..."
"You!!"
"Why are you wearing my clothes! Who said you could touch my things!!"
Evelyn paused for a moment, turning slightly.
"But I had nothing to wear..."
She looked at Luo Wei with a mischievous smile, "You wouldn't want me to live with your brother naked, would you..."
"Although..."
She said with a grin: "That wouldn't be so bad either..."
"Teacher, please shut up!!" Luo Wei immediately became irritated and waved his hand lightly.
A moan came from behind him.
Black chains suddenly appeared.
"No! No!!"
Helena didn't care about any of this, she was about to explode with anger.
"You can live here, but you can't touch my things! I'm going to your house right now to get all your shabby clothes!"
"Just wait... you wait..."
With that, she vanished into the night in a flash.
Seeing her leave.
Luo Wei silently turned around.
"Hmph..."
Evelyn rubbed her arm, muttering sarcastically under her breath.
"As if I want to wear your clothes... such small breasts, they don't fit me at all..."
"After looking through everything, only this nightgown was wearable..."
"Not even any underwear..."
"Though going commando is quite comfortable actually..."
Luo Wei fearfully closed the door.
Fortunately, Helena had disappeared into the night in a flash, otherwise if she had heard those last few comments...
She would have completely lost it...

e bizarre and supernatural had descended. The previous emperor was a thoroughgoing tyrant; no longer satisfied with human women, he had set his sights on a stunningly beautiful supernatural entity. He met his end in his bedchamber, drained of all his vital essence. As the legitimate eldest son and crown prince, Wang Hao was thus hastily enthroned, becoming the young emperor of the Great Zhou Dynasty. No sooner had he awakened the "Imperial Sign-In Intelligence System" than he was assassinated by a Son of Destiny—a classic villain's opening. The Great Zhou, ravaged by the former emperor's excesses, was in national decline. The great families within its borders harbored their own treacherous schemes, martial sects began to defy the imperial court's decrees, and border armies, their pay and provisions in arrears, grumbled incessantly against the central government. Fortunately, the central capital was still held secure by the half-million Imperial Guards and fifty thousand Imperial Forest Army who obeyed the court's orders, along with the royal family's hidden reserves of power, barely managing to suppress the realm. As the Great Zhou's finances worsened and supernatural activities grew ever more frequent, the court sat atop a volcano. Ambitious plotters everywhere dreamed of overthrowing the dynasty, and even some reclusive ancient powers emerged, attempting to sway the tides of the world. At the first grand court assembly, the civil and military officials nearly came to blows, fighting tooth and nail over the allocation of fifty million taels of silver from the summer tax revenues. The spectacle opened Wang Hao's eyes—the Great Zhou's bureaucracy was not only corrupt but also martially proficient, a cabinet of all-rounders. Some officials even had the audacity to suggest the emperor release funds from the imperial privy purse to address the emergency. Wang Hao suddenly felt weary. Let it all burn.
