Teacher's Daily Explosions

When night fell, a travel-worn Luo Wei finally made it back home.

"I'm home."

Only silence greeted him.

After hanging his coat and hat on the rack, Luo Wei curiously glanced toward the living room, wondering why there wasn't a sound.

There he saw Evelyn still sitting on half of the sofa contemplating life, not even sparing him a glance.

Her lips were tightly pressed together, looking quite sulky, as if she had been stewing in her anger all day...

Luo Wei found the situation somewhat amusing.

Was this her way of giving him the silent treatment...

Luo Wei walked over helplessly, "You haven't really been sitting here the entire afternoon, have you?"

Seeing her still unmoved expression, Luo Wei teased, "So, after sitting here all afternoon, have you come up with any good strategies to get rid of me?"

Evelyn's eyes quickly darted towards him, noticing him sprawled on the other half of the sofa, looking completely exhausted.

Her gaze held a hint of curiosity.

Luo Wei rubbed his aching thighs as he began to explain.

"First, I went to find Helena, then made a trip to the police station, and finally went to the lower city district. What a exhausting day..."

Evelyn snorted, crossing her arms.

"Why are you telling me all this? I don't want to know."

Luo Wei sat up and glared at her - that curious look in her eyes earlier certainly didn't seem like someone who didn't want to know.

How did he end up looking like he was being presumptuous...

So, he too let out a snort, "Don't you want to know what I did at all these places?"

Something flickered in Evelyn's eyes as she narrowed them, "Did you tell everything to Captain Raymond?"

Luo Wei nodded.

She immediately asked: "When will the police come to take me away?"

Luo Wei burst out laughing at how this "perpetrator" showed no nervousness, but rather seemed oddly expectant.

"Stop plotting, teacher~"

"I'm not going to hand you over to the police. Don't count on such good fortune - just stay here obediently~"

Evelyn became confused, "Since the police are involved, how can I, the perpetrator, stay uninvolved?"

Luo Wei chuckled, "Of course by pinning it all on that cult."

"Cult?" She was even more puzzled.

"That's right." Luo Wei continued: "I got the files from Captain Raymond about the Truth Cult, a secret organization that's been active in the lower city recently. Then I went to your house, moved those unconscious seniors out one by one, hid them in an abandoned factory, drew circles upon circles of cryptic cult symbols on the ground, and finally, playing the role of a concerned citizen, secretly reported it to the police..."

Watching Evelyn's eyes gradually widen, Luo Wei smiled, "Then I gracefully left, keeping my good deed anonymous."

The missing students were rescued, and as for the perpetrator of the disappearances, she was right here, already found. This way, this long case...

"And just like that, this cult kidnapping case that had been troubling Captain Raymond for so long was successfully solved. He really should treat me to dinner..." However, more than these things, Luo Wei was more concerned about the mission rewards.

Her cheeks took on a suspicious redness.

"Teacher, teacher?"

Luo Wei's big smiling face appeared in front of Evelyn, startling her.

"What do you want?"

"What do you mean what do I want? I was talking to you, why are you spacing out?"

Luo Wei looked suspiciously at the blushing Evelyn, wondering what she had been thinking about.

Seeing her come back to her senses, Luo Wei repeated, "Speaking of which, those seniors will eventually wake up. If that happens... what will teacher do?"

Perfectly resolving the disappearance case was for the mission, but honestly, he didn't want teacher to get arrested either. However, he had a feeling Evelyn must have some way to handle it.

"Annie," she said softly.

"Annie?" Luo Wei paused for a moment, immediately recalling the maid who had effortlessly destroyed the wizard during his second time loop.

Thinking Luo Wei didn't know this person, Evelyn added, "She's taken care of me since I was little, she's very good to me. In the family, I only trust her..."

"You're not planning to silence them permanently, are you?" Luo Wei asked in surprise.

"No..." she said quietly, "Annie is very experienced in handling these kinds of matters. In the past, the family..."

She glanced up at Luo Wei and shook her head slightly, "Never mind... anyway, Annie will give them an offer they can't refuse."

Hearing her say this, Luo Wei thought to himself, what vampire godfather...

This "offer they can't refuse" must be some kind of threat...

It wasn't until after taking in Evelyn that Luo Wei learned her surname.

Abraham.

"How did I never notice you were such a smooth talker before! You're impossible!!"

Luo Wei was pinned down hard by the surging Evelyn, raising his hands in surrender.

"If you didn't notice before, then let's get to know each other again..."

"But you know..."

"Teacher, is this punishment or reward..."
