I, Her Shield

Shen Yiyue finished off the burly men on the ground with her knife.

Unable to move, they were completely defenseless. Before dying, their faces showed expressions of relief.

Perhaps they felt that dying at the hands of this young girl was better than dying at the hands of that demon.

After a while, Ning Yu returned to the small backyard.

She walked up to Shen Yiyue, gently holding her knife.

The silver-haired little girl revealed a sweet smile and softly spoke in a gentle voice:

"Sister Yue, you're okay..."

Before she could finish, Ning Yu felt her vision go dark, and she slowly fell forward into Shen Yiyue's arms.

Before losing consciousness, she had only one thought:

Shen Yiyue tightly embraced the petite body of the silver-haired little girl.

Where were the people inside? Where were the boss and the bodyguards?

Now it was Shen Yiyue who came out - had they all died inside?

"I'll give you 10 seconds to put everything down and get out of here!"

Shen Yiyue raised her knife in warning.

She knew these women were probably Snapback Man's accomplices, although they were likely coerced.

But now she needed her strength for other things and didn't want to waste it on these few people.

The four women looked at each other, their eyes filled with uncertainty and fear.

Suddenly, one of them took the lead, kneeling down and kowtowing to her while crying:

"Please... we... we were forced to do this. Just let us take some food!"

The other three women immediately followed suit:

"Yes, please! We haven't eaten for days!"

"4!"

Shen Yiyue ignored their pleas completely. She didn't think they were innocent at all.

Seeing that Shen Yiyue was still counting down mercilessly, the four women exchanged glances and suddenly revealed vicious expressions:

"We'll die if we leave anyway, let's attack her together! Kill her!"

The four of them got up and lunged at Shen Yiyue, ready to fight to the death.

So after closing the door, Shen Yiyue gathered various shelves and stacked them densely behind the door, effectively blocking it completely.

Next, she piled all the corpses together, poured oil over them, and set them on fire.

This would prevent them from rotting and smelling, which could attract zombies.

However, for some reason, she couldn't find Snapback Man's corpse.

Finally, she checked the windows and other areas again to ensure they hadn't been damaged, leaving no opportunities for intruders.

In the warehouse was Snapback Man, lying on the floor covered in blood.

But he was still alive, his eyes wide open with despair.

The tendons in his hands and feet had been brutally severed, and he was severely injured, rendering him completely immobile. He could only struggle slightly.

On his leg was a decaying zombie without its lower body!

It was slowly gnawing on his thigh.

Snapback Man was in excruciating pain but could only make "aba aba" sounds. It seemed his tongue and vocal cords had been dealt with by Ning Yu.

The zombie's teeth weren't in good condition, so it was eating very slowly.
