Admit it, traitor, or no one can save you.

The week passed by quickly.

"After this weekend, there are only three more days of classes before the seven-day holiday. What are you guys planning to do?"

The speaker was Huang Fei, who had originally wanted to invite Shen Mengjie out for a trip—preferably somewhere far away—so they could spend quality time together and deepen their feelings.

Even if the trip ended late, the distance would make it impossible to go home, meaning they’d have to "make do" with a hotel. Heh heh.

But imagination was beautiful, while reality was painfully harsh. Yep, he got rejected. Since he didn’t want to go home either, he figured he’d ask his friends about their plans.

"Sigh... no plans," Li Longlong muttered with a sigh. His thoughts had aligned perfectly with Huang Fei’s, but the outcome was just as bleak.

He couldn’t tell if he wasn’t trying hard enough, but it always felt like there was some invisible barrier between him and Han Xiaojing.

They could still smile and chat when they met, and they even went out for meals in group settings. But the moment he tried to ask her out alone, she’d turn him down.

Like now—he’d texted her, and the first thing she asked was, "Who else is going?"

When he said it was just the two of them, she flat-out refused. It felt like all his efforts were just crashing into a wall of cotton...

"Heh heh heh..."

"Heh heh heh..."

Amid their conversation, a rather lewd chuckle reached the ears of the two disheartened souls.

Following the sound, they turned to see Xu Shuai buried under his blanket, the laughter clearly coming from inside.

Huang Fei and Li Longlong exchanged glances before creeping toward Xu Shuai’s bed and yanking the blanket off in one swift motion.

Underneath, Xu Shuai was sprawled on his stomach, clutching his phone, his face lit up with a perverted grin as he stared at the screen.

Caught off guard, Xu Shuai flinched like a startled rabbit and quickly hid his phone.

"What the hell are you doing?" he stammered, flustered.

"What the hell are you doing?" Huang Fei and Li Longlong shot back, their eyes locked onto the phone Xu Shuai was trying to conceal.

"The creed of Room 147 is: 'When a brother’s in trouble, all rally to help. No abandonment, no betrayal.' And yet, here you are, keeping secrets from us!"

"I’m not! Don’t spout nonsense!" Xu Shuai protested.

"Oh really? Then what were you just doing? Hiding under your blanket, giggling like a creep at your phone? You dare say you’re not keeping secrets?"

Xu Shuai turned to Long Aotian. "Aotian, back me up here. Be fair."

Long Aotian climbed down from his bed and stood beside Huang Fei and Li Longlong. "Just confess, traitor. No one can save you now."

The two blinked at Long Aotian in shock. He’d always been the fair, mature one in their group...

Noticing their stares, Long Aotian frowned. "Why are you looking at me? Let’s focus on the traitor here!"

Xu Shuai had hoped for some backup, but it seemed his trust was misplaced.

Cornered by three pairs of merciless eyes, Xu Shuai finally caved. "Fine, but you have to pretend you don’t know. Otherwise, you’ll lose a damn good father!"

After they nodded, Xu Shuai’s expression twisted into something both eerie and blissful.

"Holy sht x3! You actually—"

"Shh shh shh!" Xu Shuai leaped up and clamped his hands over Huang Fei and Li Longlong’s mouths.

"If you even think about shoving your foot in my mouth, I swear I’ll beat you to death!" Long Aotian growled, veins bulging on his forehead as Xu Shuai’s foot hovered dangerously close.

Once he calmed down, Xu Shuai scratched his head. "Yeah, so... Wang Lijuan made me promise not to tell you guys. So, my dear sworn fathers, keep it to yourselves."

Long Aotian patted Xu Shuai’s shoulder. "Wang Lijuan seems like a decent girl. Treat her well, and stop scheming like a dumbass."

Xu Shuai grinned sheepishly. "I know my limits. I never aimed too high, and Wang Lijuan’s the first girl who even let me hold her hand. The fact she agreed to go out with me? Totally worth it."

Huang Fei slumped onto his bed, lighting a cigarette with a melancholic sigh. "Honestly, I can stay single, but seeing my sworn son get a date before me? That hurts worse than death."

"But as your brother, I still hope you succeed."

"Don’t worry, man. I didn’t get a date either. I’ll suffer with you!" Li Longlong threw an arm around Huang Fei’s shoulders, equally despondent.

"Ugh, get off me. That’s so cringe."

Suddenly, they both turned to Long Aotian. "Aotian, you heading out again?"

"You vanished all last weekend. Same deal this time?"

"Yeah, got some things to do."

"Sigh..." Huang Fei and Li Longlong watched Long Aotian and Xu Shuai leave. "Busy, busy... busy is good..."

With the two gone, the dorm was left with nothing but a pair of lonely, dejected "old men," staring blankly into the void.

Outside, Long Aotian received a message from Li Qingxue: "Long Aotian, we’re coming to see you."

"Don’t," he replied.

Back at University A, Li Qingxue was tidying up in her dorm when her phone buzzed.

Her face fell at Long Aotian’s response, lips puckering so hard they could’ve hung a beer bottle.

But the next second, she was grinning like an idiot.

That brief emptiness in her heart vanished instantly. Her pout melted into an unstoppable smile, her entire being radiating joy.

She pulled up Long Aotian’s location on her map and quickly typed back: "Taking Metro Line 15—5.6 km, no transfers. Just 800m walk from the station."

Giddy, she finished getting ready and headed downstairs to meet Hu Yuying.

Stepping out of the girls’ dormitory, she spotted Hu Yuying already waiting on the bench.

Dressed simply, she sat there quietly, her natural grace and warmth exuding a serene charm that was impossible to ignore.

Hu Yuying’s eyes lit up when she saw Li Qingxue. "Qingxue, you look so pretty today."

"R-really?" Li Qingxue tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, suddenly self-conscious. Was it that obvious?

Today, she seemed less playful and more refined, her usual bubbly energy replaced with a gentle elegance.

That small gesture of brushing her hair aside added an indescribable charm to her already dreamy, innocent aura.
