Luo Jun lay in wait along the path women took to the restroom. If those mercenaries returned and were hiding in their tents, he could learn from these women's mouths.

But before the women arrived, Luo Jun saw two injured men supporting each other as they emerged from the woods.

In the twilight, Luo Jun noticed they weren't wearing camouflage, and their unkempt appearance didn't resemble well-off mercenaries.

After enduring trials and traveling far, the two men collapsed on the beach upon seeing the women.

The women, upon seeing the men return, were first puzzled, then rushed to them in groups, helping the injured men to the warmth of the bonfire.

Through his scope, Luo Jun recognized the two men as the captain and first mate from among the survivors.

They had actually survived!

But if they had been shot, they wouldn't have survived till now. Could they have been hit by shrapnel in the thigh?

Even so, they wouldn't have been able to walk this far!

Moreover, having been through combat, why didn't they have any weapons on them?

Skepticism had kept Luo Jun alive on the battlefield, and he couldn't help but gaze towards the woods where the two men emerged.

While there was still twilight, Luo Jun carefully observed the situation in the woods, finally spotting three figures hiding behind palm trees, using binoculars to survey the beach.

"Just as I suspected!"

Luo Jun suddenly understood why these two men could return. The lack of weapons on them was the biggest question mark!

No one would hand out bait guns.

To prevent these three from escaping, Luo Jun decided to flank and eliminate them.

Though his sniper skills were precise, with his semi-automatic sniper rifle, they could disappear into the dense woods in a second when reloading.

As long as one enemy remained alive, it posed a significant threat to him.

Luo Jun cautiously traversed the woods, crossed the small hills, and finally arrived thirty meters behind them in the darkening sky.

However, Luo Jun had already marked the positions of those three in his mind.

As he approached within ten meters behind them, he could see they were holding flashlights wrapped in cloth, emitting a faint light as they ate, while cautiously observing their surroundings.

They were clearly in a state of readiness.

Though they were already very cautious, their enemy was an elite produced by the US underground special forces base, and they had no chance of escape.

Luo Jun pulled out his pistol and fired several shots at them.

As they faced death, none of the three saw who killed them, only a black shadow standing behind the tree.

After killing the three men, Luo Jun found no other mercenaries coming over and took away the firearms and supplies of the three mercenaries.

Because of the gunfire, the women at the tents and the two men all looked over in this direction.

Until they saw Luo Jun emerge from the woods, dressed in auspicious attire and his face painted, they couldn't make out anything from a distance, their faces filled with caution.

Luo Jun waved at them.

"It's safe!"

Luo Jun shouted to them.

At that moment, Aisha, who had previously interacted with Luo Jun, began talking to the others around her, and soon they excitedly covered their mouths.

Aisha and her two daughters walked over in this direction.

They quickly arrived by Luo Jun's side.

"Hello, sir, have our reinforcements arrived?" Aisha asked Luo Jun eagerly.

Luo Jun didn't want to discuss gloomy matters with her for the time being, so he told her not to ask and that he needed to gather some information from the captain first.

So they went to the tent, where Luo Jun saw the captain's first mate. They hadn't suffered any major injuries, just some superficial wounds. They looked so ragged because they were starving and had been beaten by the three mercenaries on the way.

"Was that you the other night?" the captain asked Luo Jun, with a look of resignation.

Luo Jun nodded. "I'm sorry I couldn't help you. How are the others?"

The captain sighed and said, "They were killed in the explosion. When we sent people to get guns, they kept throwing grenades into the woods where we were hiding and shooting at us. Those who didn't die were thrown into the woods; there's no way they could have survived."

"And the other mercenaries?" Luo Jun asked cautiously.

"Our men fought back and killed two of them. You took care of the rest," the captain said. Luo Jun fell silent for a moment. In that situation, he couldn't have taken on five live mercenaries alone. Escaping was the only option.

They didn't have guns, but they managed to kill two mercenaries in self-defense, probably at the cost of other people's lives.

"As long as there are no other mercenaries, we're relatively safe for now," Luo Jun said.

"It's safe for now, but it won't be in six months. There will be more armed men coming here, maybe even tanks landing on the island. We have no chance of fighting back!" the captain said despairingly.

"How do you know?" Luo Jun asked, probing.

"Jones told me before the mercenaries entered the woods. He said armed men would arrive in six months and we must stay away from the coast... I didn't know why he told me that at the time, but now I understand," the captain said.

The first mate beside him also looked angry.

"Jones betrayed us; his words can't be trusted anymore!"

"He had no reason to lie to us before he left. We only have six months. If we don't leave this island within six months, we'll have to hide in the woods," the captain said, shaking his head. He understood Jones's betrayal; as an assassin, he had his own scores to settle.

He definitely didn't come here to do charity. Leaving behind this food was already very kind.

"How do we escape?" Luo Jun asked, seeing that the captain seemed to have a plan to escape.

"This island has a window every six months when leaving is possible. Otherwise, it's extremely difficult to depart. Even with a boat, there's a high risk of shipwreck or loss of life, and the same goes for airplanes!" the Captain said.

Upon hearing this, Luo Jun felt a surge of excitement because the Captain seemed well-versed in the island's weather conditions, indicating his thorough research.

So, during these six months, if we can produce a significant number of sturdy life rafts, or leave before those armed individuals arrive.

"Captain, I have a question: Did Jones tell you about any other secrets on this island?" Luo Jun asked curiously, as he believed Jones must know a lot and must have some kind of connection with the Captain to come here.
