Inside the Office.
Su Hua was still being fed by Lin Xuan.
"President Su," Shao Xingfan greeted respectfully.
"Hmm," Su Hua responded indifferently.
Shao Xingfan shot a dark glance at Lin Xuan.
Lin Xuan raised an eyebrow.
Seemed like Shao Xingfan still couldn’t stand him.
But what he loved most was seeing people who despised him yet couldn’t do a thing about it.
"President Su, this is the collaboration project with Haili Group," Shao Xingfan said.
Su Hua frowned.
She’d thought it was something urgent, but it was just the Haili Group deal.
Such a trivial matter… and it had to interrupt her time with A-Xuan.
Her entire aura radiated displeasure.
Lin Xuan smirked. He’d heard about the partnership between Su Corporation and Haili Group. Haili Group was desperate to climb the ladder by attaching itself to Su Corporation, pulling every string to make it happen.
In that case, Hua Bao could review the contract later. No rush.
Since Shao Xingfan couldn’t stand seeing him with Hua Bao, he’d make the man even more miserable.
"Assistant Shao," Su Hua narrowed her eyes. "There are five minutes left until closing time. Unless it’s urgent or I specifically request it, you don’t need to rush in just before the end of the workday to report. Understood?"
"Yes," Shao Xingfan replied through gritted teeth.
He shot another glance at Lin Xuan.
President Su was known to be a workaholic. In the past, he’d often come to her office five minutes before closing time—she’d never been this impatient before.
It must be because his presence had interrupted her intimate moment with Lin Xuan.
"Go ahead," Su Hua said coldly.
"Yes."
Just as Shao Xingfan was about to begin, Lin Xuan suddenly spoke up.
"Hua Bao, you’re too thin. Eat a bit more."
He picked up another bite for her.
Shao Xingfan was cut off, his brows furrowing.
Lin Xuan was the apple of President Su’s eye—he’d have to endure it.
He watched as Su Hua accepted the food from Lin Xuan, thinking the interruption was over, and prepared to continue his report.
Then came Lin Xuan’s next move.
Lin Xuan took a bite of an oyster himself before pressing his lips against Su Hua’s crimson ones.
"Hua Bao, do you like it when I feed you like this?"
"Mmm." A hint of pleasure flickered in Su Hua’s eyes.
A-Xuan’s antics were becoming more and more to her taste.
Shao Xingfan: "!!!"
Damn it.
This Lin Xuan was nothing but a fox spirit!
How could their sharp, decisive President Su be ensnared by such a man?
He glared daggers at Lin Xuan.
If not for President Su shielding him, he’d have taught him a lesson long ago!
Lin Xuan shot him a challenging smirk.
Su Hua knew Lin Xuan well—he was deliberately provoking Shao Xingfan.
Seemed A-Xuan really didn’t like the guy.
From then on, Lin Xuan kept "feeding" Su Hua with his lips.
Shao Xingfan finally couldn’t take it anymore.
"President Su, if you’re busy now, I’ll return this afternoon."
If he stayed any longer, he might just punch Lin Xuan in the face.
"Wait." Su Hua stopped him.
"President Su, do you have further instructions?" Shao Xingfan asked respectfully.
"Your computer skills are impressive," Su Hua praised.
"Thank you, President Su."
Shao Xingfan brightened.
He admired Su Hua deeply—being complimented by his idol was a thrill.
"I’ll assign you a task to put those skills to good use," Su Hua said, arching a brow.
Lin Xuan frowned.
A man’s intuition told him this "task" wasn’t going to be pleasant.
"President Su, please go ahead."
Shao Xingfan assumed any assignment from her would be of great importance.
Su Hua: "Go assist A-Xuan at Tianmu Group. His company is developing a game and needs extra hands."
Shao Xingfan: "!!!"
Work under Lin Xuan?
Was she joking?
"President Su, I—" Shao Xingfan struggled. "I still have pending tasks here. I might not have the bandwidth—"
"No issue. I’ll have Jiang Qing reassign your workload," Su Hua said dismissively.
"But—"
Shao Xingfan wanted to argue further, but Su Hua’s icy gaze silenced him.
"Assistant Shao, do you have a problem?"
"...No," he forced out, resentment simmering beneath the surface.
Su Hua continued, "Until the game is completed, A-Xuan will be your boss. You won’t be returning to Su Corporation for now."
"Yes."
His reply was lifeless.
"Prepare for the handover this afternoon," Su Hua said, turning away.
Shao Xingfan left the office, his expression stormy.
Jiang Qing watched from a distance, shaking his head.
Picking a fight with Young Master Lin? That was just asking for trouble.
Watch out for a double-team retaliation.
Once Shao Xingfan was gone, only Lin Xuan and Su Hua remained in the office.
Lin Xuan tilted his head. "Hua Bao, why transfer him to my company? We’re not short-staffed."
"Because I want to vent your anger for you," Su Hua answered. "I won’t let my A-Xuan suffer even the slightest grievance."
Vent his anger?
Lin Xuan nodded.
It did feel satisfying.
Now that Shao Xingfan was his subordinate, the man would have to obey his orders—must be eating him alive inside.
He had to admit, being protected by the woman he loved felt pretty damn good.
"Shouldn’t A-Xuan reward me, hmm?"
Su Hua’s eyes glinted playfully as her slender fingers traced his lips, the implication crystal clear.
Lin Xuan knew if he didn’t comply, she’d find endless ways to tease him.
He had no choice but to kiss those crimson lips again.
A victorious smile curled in Su Hua’s eyes.
Noon.
Shao Xingfan sat in the break room, gloomily sipping tea.
Bai Linjiang grabbed a drink and asked curiously, "Why the long face? Bad mood?"
"President Su assigned me to work at Tianmu Group," Shao Xingfan grumbled.
"That’s a good thing!" Bai Linjiang blinked. "Why so upset?"
"Being transferred from Su Corporation to Tianmu Group—and having Lin Xuan as my boss—isn’t humiliating enough?" Shao Xingfan hissed through clenched teeth.
Bai Linjiang sighed. "Assistant Shao, you’re missing the big picture. If you cozy up to Young Master Lin, promotions and raises are guaranteed!"
He’d love to butter up Lin Xuan too, but aside from that one incident at school, he never got the chance.
"Pah! Me, sucking up to some pretty boy? Don’t make me laugh," Shao Xingfan snapped.
The entire afternoon,
Lin Xuan stayed in the president’s office. No employee dared disturb them.
Only at 3 PM did Lin Xuan finally emerge, looking thoroughly refreshed.
He strode straight into Shao Xingfan’s office.
"Xiao Shao," Lin Xuan grinned. "From now on, you’re my employee. Heard your car broke down? Come on, I’ll drive you."
Shao Xingfan scowled. "I’ll take a cab."
"I’m your boss now. On company time, you refuse your superior’s order?" Lin Xuan smirked.
Defeated, Shao Xingfan followed him to the car.
Lin Xuan noticed a black sedan tailing them.
