The night garden was shrouded in silence at 4:50 AM.

A Maybach entered the premises.

After getting out of the car, Su Hua gave a calm order, “I’ll be taking a day off tomorrow. If there’s anything important, send me a message, or wait until I’m back at work to handle it.”

“Understood,” Jiang Qing responded promptly.

As Su Hua prepared to head back to the villa, she noticed Jiang Qing still standing in place and furrowed her brows. “Is there still something?”

“No, nothing at all,” Jiang Qing quickly shook her head.

With a lingering gaze towards the villa, she couldn’t help but wonder what exactly had provoked the young master Lin to incur Su Hua’s ire. However, Su Hua was keeping it tightly under wraps, making it hard for her to find out.

Ah, curiosity killed the cat.

Jiang Qing got back into the car, pressed down on the accelerator, and drove away from the night garden.

Butler Wang was already up, rushing over to Su Hua’s side. “Miss, why are you back so early in the morning?”

“Where’s Xuan?” Su Hua inquired.

“Master Lin is resting in his bedroom,” Butler Wang replied.

“Good,” Su Hua’s lips curled into a smile.

“Butler Wang, turn off all the surveillance in the night garden, and have the staff stay in their rooms.” Su Hua’s beautiful eyes bore a dark undertone.

She didn’t want anyone interrupting her time with Xuan.

Butler Wang immediately caught on.

“Yes, Miss, I’ll arrange it right away,” Butler Wang replied with a mischievous smile.

Young love really knew how to have fun.

In the bedroom, Lin Xuan was fast asleep.

Su Hua turned on the light, but he remained unaware.

In his slumber, Lin Xuan sensed a familiar fragrance wafting into his nostrils, and reflexively, he wrapped his arms around the slender waist of the woman above him.

Soon, he felt his lips being sealed.

Lin Xuan, still half-asleep, thought to himself, ‘I must be spending too much time with Su Hua; even in my dreams, I’m dreaming about kissing her.’

As time ticked by, Lin Xuan began to feel an intense sense of suffocation.

Finally, he awoke.

When he saw the woman above him, he was momentarily stunned.

Su Hua?

No, that couldn’t be right. Su Hua was still abroad on a business trip; how could she be here at the night garden?

This must still be a dream.

Just as Lin Xuan was about to close his eyes and go back to sleep, a sharp pain shot through his lips.

Su Hua had bitten his lip.

Lin Xuan was instantly wide awake.

“Ho-holy crap, Su Hua!” Lin Xuan’s eyes widened, “What are you doing back?”

“Does Xuan not want me back?” Su Hua’s eyes narrowed dangerously.

“No, of course not,” Lin Xuan quickly shook his head, his tone submissive. “Didn’t your work still have one more day to go?”

“It would’ve taken longer, but Xuan was too bold,” Su Hua chuckled lightly. “So, I had to rush through the work overnight and come back to teach Xuan a lesson.”

Lin Xuan: “…”

He suddenly realized that Su Hua had cut their video call short not to take care of herself but to rush off to handle her work so she could return early… to discipline him.

Wait, this wasn’t how it was supposed to go!

If Su Hua had returned tomorrow night, her anger would’ve subsided quite a bit.

But returning tonight?

Crap!

He was doomed.

“While I was abroad, I couldn’t stop thinking about my Xuan,” Su Hua breathed softly near Lin Xuan’s lips, her breath warm and tantalizing.

“Thump thump thump—” Lin Xuan could clearly feel his heart racing.

Looking into the woman’s eyes, filled with intense desire, Lin Xuan felt a pang of panic.

He feared his stamina wouldn’t hold out this time.

If only the heavens had granted him a superhuman endurance from the start.

“Su Hua,” Lin Xuan swallowed hard. “It’s only 5 AM. You’ve been traveling all night and working nonstop. You must be exhausted. Let’s get some sleep first, and we can talk about this tomorrow.”

“Does Xuan fear defeat?” Su Hua’s eyes sparkled with amusement. “Or does he think he’s no match for me?”

Lin Xuan was momentarily speechless.

He couldn’t very well admit that he was scared, could he?

That would be bad for his pride.

“What’s there to be afraid of?” Lin Xuan mustered his courage.

After all, it wasn’t like he was guaranteed to lose to Su Hua.

“If Xuan isn’t afraid, then there’s no need to shy away,” Su Hua’s lips curved into a playful smile.

“Good boy, kiss me, hmm?”

Su Hua’s alluring gaze tugged at Lin Xuan, drawing him deeper into the web she had woven just for him.

The air was thick with lingering passion.

“Let me take you to the bath,” Lin Xuan said, lifting the woman into his arms.

He let out a deep breath.

So far, so good. It had only been less than an hour. With Su Hua likely worn out from her overnight work, he thought he could still manage.

In Lin Xuan’s embrace, the enchanting woman’s eyes were misty with desire, her flushed cheeks making her even more irresistible.

“Xuan,” Su Hua wrapped her arms around Lin Xuan’s neck. “No need to wash.”

Lin Xuan thought that Su Hua was too tired to move and just wanted to sleep like this.

“Su Hua, be a good girl,” Lin Xuan coaxed gently. “Sleeping like this won’t be comfortable. If you’re too tired, just rest, and I’ll help you wash.”

“I’m not tired,” Su Hua’s voice carried a hint of petulance as her cheek nestled against Lin Xuan’s chest.

“Not tired?” Lin Xuan was puzzled. If it wasn’t exhaustion from work, why had Su Hua stopped so soon?

This didn’t make sense.

Lin Xuan racked his brain, trying to figure out the reason.

At that moment,

Su Hua, like a seductive siren, whispered in his ear, “Xuan, let’s go swimming together, shall we?”

Lin Xuan suddenly remembered.

A while back, Su Hua had mentioned… next time, they could try places like the pool or the lawn.

Damn!

He should’ve known. Su Hua wasn’t your average person; she wouldn’t just give in so easily.

Was there really no escaping this?

But Lin Xuan still tried to resist, “Su Hua, there’s surveillance everywhere, and the staff might see. Let’s save it for next time.”

At least they should avoid Su Hua’s initial fury.

“Xuan, don’t worry, I’ve already arranged it. All the surveillance is off, and the staff won’t be appearing,” Su Hua reassured him.

Lin Xuan: “…”

No excuses left.

He resigned himself, carrying Su Hua toward the pool. This indoor pool was temperature-controlled, so there was no risk of catching a chill.

Lin Xuan set Su Hua down.

Just as he was about to remove his outerwear, Su Hua pulled him into the pool, sending a splash of water flying.
