The Exorcist 08

"I remember now!" A demon suddenly slapped its forehead.

Many pairs of eyes turned to look at it.

It pointed excitedly at the oddly behaving Uresk: "Isn't this pretty much what it looks like when those humans are possessed by us?"

The crowd of demons burst into sneers.

"What are you talking about? How could a demon be possessed? That's the funniest joke I've ever heard..."

The demon who spoke had four eyes. Just as it finished speaking, Uresk suddenly stood up, reached out, and grabbed it by the neck.

"Uresk! Are you crazy? How dare you attack me?" Being grabbed by the neck didn't stop it from speaking; evidently, its anatomy was rather unique.

The next moment, Uresk's noticeably longer left arm swung over in a heavy punch. With a dull thud, all the demons watched as their kin's head went flying.

Their gazes followed the flying head until it smashed against the wall, then they all snapped their heads back in unison.

A hint of a smile actually appeared on Uresk's already unsightly face, and then it directly tore apart the headless body in front of it with its bare hands.

"Hahahaha, didn't expect this, did you?" It laughed wildly, but the voice wasn't Uresk's raspy tone!

"Holy crap, it... it's possessed!" The first to react was a demon with a feminine appearance.

Now, even if they found it surreal, they had to accept the reality: a demon had actually been reverse-possessed by a human!

Uresk had already charged into the midst of the demons. Its strength was several levels higher than before; almost every strike sent a demon collapsing in agony.

"A human?" The Goat-headed Lord remained seated, seemingly unbothered by the situation. "You are outstanding. You've even exceeded my expectations."

It watched its subordinates being torn to pieces without a shred of pity in its eyes. "I can offer you a highly satisfactory deal, as long as you are willing to dedicate yourself to the Abyss. How about it?" Looking at the possessed low-level demon, a trace of greed flashed in the Goat-headed Lord's eyes.

Such a soul would definitely be even more delicious.

It unconsciously licked its lips.

Although it had to follow the rules, faced with such an alluring soul, it couldn't help but feel eager to make a move.

As it watched its underlings scatter and flee, it finally moved. However, just as it stood up, it took a fierce kick to the chest and fell right back onto its rear.

This made it somewhat furious: "Damned bug."

But the moment it raised its head and met Uresk's eyes, the Goat-headed Lord froze. What did it just see?

What was that thing behind this guy?

That posture... was it a god?

In that brief moment of hesitation, its horns were firmly grabbed by the opponent, who then yanked its face down and ruthlessly smashed it against the armrest.

"I! Didn't! Want! To get rough! But you! Kept! Knocking and knocking! What the hell! Are you knocking for!"

Only then did the Goat-headed Lord realize it had underestimated this human who could reverse-possess a demon. Even through the body of a low-level demon, his strength was unbelievably terrifying!

"It sounds awful!" With one final smash, "Uresk" let go.

Dizzy and disoriented, the Goat-headed Lord collapsed onto the ground. It suddenly craned its neck and let out a furious roar.

No matter what that thing was just now, this human had enraged it. He had to die!

But before its roar could finish, Uresk leaped high into the air from behind and stomped heavily on its neck, forcefully cutting off its vent of anger.

The surviving demons below watched in absolute terror.

"No, no, it shouldn't be like this!" It wasn't until its arms were ripped off by sheer brute force that the Goat-headed Lord finally dropped its arrogance as a high-tier demon lord. An unprecedented emotion began to stimulate its mind.

"No! Stop!"

It felt a tremendous force tearing at the horns on its head.

"Please..."

Uresk stood there blankly, somewhat confused. It had been frightened just a moment ago and only thought of seeking help from Fang Zhiyi. What was going on now? It saw the demons below staring at it like it was an anomaly, all standing far away.

Uresk instinctively looked down and saw the goat head dangling from its hand.

"What the..." It wasn't afraid of the severed head, but when it lifted the head to look closely, Uresk's blood ran cold.

"Lord? My Lord, are you alright? Lord? Are you okay?"

Fang Zhiyi looked at his mother, who had woken him up, and suddenly smiled. "Mom, I'm better now."

"Hmm?"

"I'm not having nightmares anymore," Fang Zhiyi said.

Seeing his mother's expression gradually shift from joy to covering her mouth and crying, Fang Zhiyi felt a bit embarrassed.

He only wanted to make the transition a bit smoother.

Watching his mother turn to leave to tell his father the good news, Fang Zhiyi breathed a sigh of relief. He could finally get a peaceful night's sleep.

"I hope Skinny Dog can handle it himself," he smacked his lips.

Little Hei, however, suddenly looked outside with vigilance.

"What's wrong?" Fang Zhiyi noticed Little Hei's unusual behavior; after all, it usually spent most of its time resting with its eyes half-closed.

Little Hei slowly turned its head. "Strange. You've killed so many demons, but there are still quite a few active in the world."

"What do you mean?" Fang Zhiyi walked to the window and looked outside. A bizarre-looking person was walking down the street, their head twitching constantly in a posture that no normal human could ever manage.

Ahead of it, several figures were sprinting madly, but no matter what they did, they couldn't shake off its pursuit.

"Those guys are..."

"Here to grind the dungeon," Little Hei said concisely. Its neck suddenly stretched out incredibly long, and then it said with some regret, "Pity, it's not Lin Ye's group."

Meng Lei had great stamina since he worked out often. "Run faster! We'll split up at the fork ahead!"

"What kind of garbage quest is this! SSS-rank! Survive for three days! It's only the first day and it's already this intense!" A young man wearing a conspicuous earring followed closely behind him, complaining incessantly.

"Stop talking, get ready to split up!" Zhao Lei shouted. He then sharply turned to the right, and the several people behind him also chose their own directions to flee.

The fully possessed demon only hesitated for a moment before continuing its pursuit to the left.

A short while later, a miserable scream pierced the night sky, but no one went to check. In the current state of the world, every resident was very cautious. Even though it was rumored recently that there was a very powerful exorcist, people still didn't feel it was safe outside.

Many who heard the scream knelt down trembling and began to pray.

Fang Zhiyi, however, heard the sound of his own front door being knocked.

He turned toward the doorway and headed downstairs.

"Please, let us stay for the night."
