Principal 013

"What are you saying about The Avenger? Are you senile?" Hong Yanwen turned to his subordinates and laughed. "This guy was quite something back in the day. He barged right into my office and threatened me, I still remember it to this day." He pointed his finger at Fang Zhiyi.

Fang Zhiyi suddenly reached out and grabbed his finger. "I've realized you really have no sense of shame."

Hong Yanwen cried out in pain, and the subordinates behind him hurriedly stepped forward.

But right at that moment, a group of people ran out of the school, led by Fang Chenghan.

Seeing the situation before him, Fang Chenghan frowned. Without a word, he stepped forward and kicked down a man who was about to grab Fang Zhiyi, pointing the stick in his hand straight at the group. "Do you have a death wish?"

The people behind him also surged forward, quickly subduing the subordinates Hong Yanwen had brought.

Fang Zhiyi frowned at Hong Yanwen. "I thought you were a turtle, being able to endure this much." He suddenly revealed a smile. "Do you know how long I've been waiting for you?"

Hong Yanwen's face twisted. With a casual push from Fang Zhiyi, he fell on his backside, cradling his finger and grimacing in pain. "Fine, Fang, you are refusing the face I give you, aren't you?" He turned to look at his cowering subordinates. "What are you staring at? Get him!"

Fang Chenghan suddenly threw his stick away. He glanced at Fang Zhiyi, and after confirming his dad was fine, he held up three fingers at Hong Yanwen.

"Three."

"What are you doing?" Hong Yanwen was a bit bewildered.

"Two."

"I recognize you. You're that prodigal son."

"One."

"Everyone attack, I can handle whatever happens!" Hong Yanwen felt something was wrong; he quickly scrambled up and retreated to the back.

At that moment, his subordinate suddenly received a call, nodding and bowing obsequiously to the person on the other end.

Hong Yanwen shoved him impatiently. "I hired you to get things done. Do you want the money or not?"

Unexpectedly, the subordinate who had just been respectful to him turned hostile. "You old bastard, you set me up?" He lifted his foot and kicked Hong Yanwen. Caught off guard, Hong Yanwen was kicked to the ground.

"Considering your old age, I won't fuss with you! But don't let me see you again!" The man pointed at Hong Yanwen's nose and cursed, then turned to search the crowd at the school gate. His gaze finally locked onto Fang Zhiyi. He bowed apologetically to Fang Zhiyi. "Sorry, sorry, Principal Fang, I am truly sorry. We didn't do it on purpose, we really didn't know. It was all this old bastard who tricked us into coming."

Hong Yanwen was bewildered. What was going on?

"What are you standing there for, apologize! Scram!" The man was clearly the leader of this gang. Under his command, the group began to bow to Fang Zhiyi.

"Get lost." Fang Zhiyi didn't care.

"Please, Principal Fang, put in a good word with our boss, we are truly sorry."

Hong Yanwen watched the cars speed away. He couldn't quite figure it out, but seeing Fang Zhiyi's condescending attitude, his face was still full of defiance. "Fang, don't think you're so great just because you know a few people. I have plenty of ways to ruin you!"

Watching Hong Yanwen leave in exasperation, Fang Chenghan pushed his glasses up, his eyes turning somewhat cold.

Ruan Wenkang looked at his father and stepmother smiling apologetically in front of him, behind whom stood his good-for-nothing younger brother.

"Do you need something?"

"Wenkang, you see, I was the one who paid for your schooling back then. Now that you're successful, you should at least give your brother a hand, right?"

Ruan Wenkang laughed. "You paid for my schooling? I've been sending you the minimum standard of money every month, haven't I?" He paused. "The money for my later studies was provided by our principal, not you. The money I used to start my business was also lent to me by the principal, not you."

"You unfilial son, why do you think you are where you are today?"

Ruan Wenkang walked straight away. "I am where I am today because of others, not because of you. If it were because of you, I might already be dead. No, I would have died long ago, back when you threw me into that school."

"If you have an objection, you can go and sue me. I will still pay for your pension, but as for anything else, your family shouldn't even think about it!"

With that said, ignoring his parents' ugly expressions, he walked straight out of the office. He had just received a message and now had more important things to do.

Ruan Wenkang got into his car and closed his eyes. The principal was right; making oneself powerful was the best way to get revenge.

His phone rang. Ruan Wenkang glanced at it and answered with a smile. "Xu Qing? What, are you going to send me a wedding invitation?"

Xu Qing spat playfully on the other end of the line. "I heard from Chenghan that Hong Yanwen came looking for trouble."

"Yes, I know."

"As long as you know."

"Regarding this matter, what does the Eldest Son mean to do?"

Xu Qing paused for a moment, then said word by word, "Pull it up by the roots!"

"Understood!"

A bespectacled man who was taking his assistant to a tech exhibition looked down at his phone, frowned, and then quickly walked away. "Look around yourselves, and pick out a few promising projects for me later. I have something to do."

A woman who was painting threw down her phone. Her hand holding the brush trembled slightly. She took a deep breath, looked at her lover's head poking out from the studio door, and smiled and nodded.

A man in a meeting turned off his phone screen and placed it on the table. His eyes became very complex. Then he stood up and began calling his subordinates to get ready for action.

In the boxing gym, the boss, who was about to go check on his fighters' pre-match preparations, threw his towel to his assistant. "I have something else to do, you go cheer them on."

Similar scenes were taking place everywhere.

Meanwhile, Hong Yanwen had returned to his company. He grew angry just thinking about how humiliating he looked today. He hadn't expected that after so many years, he still couldn't vent this frustration!

Just as he was scheming how to ruin Fang Zhiyi and destroy his family, his secretary rushed in hastily.

"President Hong, bad news."

"What is it?" Hong Yanwen was very impatient.

"Our business partners suddenly called to say they are cutting off our collaboration!"

"What?" Hong Yanwen stood up, but after thinking about it, he said nonchalantly, "It's fine, we aren't short of partners anyway."

"No, it's... it's..."

Seeing the secretary stammering, Hong Yanwen got a bit angry. "What is it?"

"It's that all of our partners have announced they are severing ties with us!"

"Are they crazy?" Hong Yanwen almost lost his footing.

Suddenly, his phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, he took a deep breath, steadied his emotions, and answered the phone with a face full of smiles. But before he could speak, the other party's cold voice came through.

"Boss Hong, let's temporarily terminate the project we finalized earlier."

"Why... the contracts are already signed!" Hong Yanwen looked completely baffled.

"The contract... oh, you mean the contract Vice President Li signed with you? He has already been fired. The company confirmed he took bribes. That's all."

Listening to the dial tone on the phone, Hong Yanwen's face was filled with utter shock.
