The Outsiders 03

"Dad, you... please don't hit my brother anymore." Fang Nian looked as if she was about to cry.

Seeing her expression, the three ungrateful wretches, who had initially been frightened by Fang Zhiyi's sudden outburst, suddenly found their courage again.

"Sister, don't beg him! Even if he is our dad, he can't just raise his hand and hit people!" Fang Yunyi was the first to speak up.

"I get it, you're doing this for that wild girl, aren't you? What are you pretending for? Didn't you also tell her to leave yesterday?" Zhang Enyu was truly heartbroken for her son, shouting at Fang Zhiyi, "What kind of man hits his own children? Hit me if you have the guts!"

Fang Zhiyi took a deep breath.

Fang Nian continued to plead, "Dad, Brother, please stop arguing. It's all my fault. I'm the reason you're fighting... Maybe I should just go back..."

She was using this trick again. In the original plot, she said this all the time, but this was the first time she had used it in front of Fang Zhiyi.

"Niannian, sit down." Fang Yunhui grabbed her hand. "It's not because of you. This has nothing to do with you!"

"Brother, please don't fight with Dad anymore. If this continues, it... it will put me in a very difficult position..."

Fang Zhiyi's train of thought was suddenly interrupted by these words, as if a certain mechanism had been triggered.

"Difficult? Then let's not fucking deal with it at all!"

The dining table was instantly flipped over. The family stared in stunned silence at Fang Nian, who was now covered in spilled soup and food.

Fang Zhiyi gave them a cold glance and turned to leave. He had to go find Fang Yuran. Right as he reached the door, he took out his cell phone and made a call: "Hello, it's me. I need to trouble you with something."

"You bastard! Don't you dare come back if you have the guts!" Zhang Enyu finally reacted, shouting curses from behind.

"Don't cry, sister. I'll take you to buy some new clothes."

"That's right, your second brother is free too."

Her several good brothers all comforted Fang Nian.

"You have to pay rent to live in my house." Sun Lei looked at the slightly bewildered girl in front of him and scoffed coldly, showing absolutely no joy at seeing his biological daughter.

Fang Yuran wanted to leave, but she stopped just as she turned around. She had no money, no luggage, nothing at all. Where could she go? She looked at the strange man in front of her, unable to force the word "Dad" out of her mouth no matter what.

Sun Lei grew impatient. "Are you going to stay or not? If not, get the hell out!"

"I don't have any money..." Fang Yuran said in a low voice.

Sun Lei looked her up and down, a lecherous glint in his eyes. "No money is fine too... How about you..."

Fang Yuran felt a chill run down her spine. Was this man in front of her really her biological father? How could that be!

Seeing her guarded expression, Sun Lei sneered. "If you want to stay without money, then you'll be responsible for serving me well from now on. Then hurry up and get out there to find a job. I don't care if you go sell yourself or what, I don't raise freeloaders here!"

Fang Yuran's expression turned awful, but she could only grit her teeth and nod. "Okay."

"Go scrub the toilet first!"

Fang Yuran barely had a moment of rest. She even felt a bit of sympathy for Fang Nian. How did she manage to stay in this house for so long?

"Come on over, no one is home." Sun Lei, lying on the sofa, was talking on the phone, but he suddenly glanced at Fang Yuran. "It's just a little girl, it's fine. Wear something pretty, hehe."

Hearing his sleazy tone, Fang Yuran felt a wave of disgust. This kind of person was actually her biological father?

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.

Sun Lei frowned. "What are you standing there for? Go open the door!"

Fang Yuran walked to the door with her head down and opened it a crack. The door was immediately pushed open, and two bald, heavily tattooed burly men walked right in.

Fang Yuran was completely dumbfounded. She nervously looked back at Sun Lei. Was he planning to sell her? She took a step back. The moment they spoke, she would run to the kitchen and grab a knife...

But Sun Lei's words stopped her train of thought.

"Who are you people?"

"Brother Fang, is this the guy who abducted your daughter?" one of the bald men turned his head and asked.

Fang Yuran looked over in disbelief. Fang Zhiyi walked in last. He took one look at his daughter, who was wearing an apron and covered in dirt, and then turned to the shirtless Sun Lei on the sofa.

"That's right."

"You... don't spout nonsense! She is my daughter! And she came back on her own!" Sun Lei panicked a little.

"Your daughter? She came back on her own? How come I didn't know my daughter got herself an extra dad? Did you guys know?" Fang Zhiyi asked.

The two bald men laughed. "Damn, human traffickers have all sorts of weird excuses these days. Brother Fang, leave this matter to us and rest assured!"

"I know you, your surname is Fang! What are you going to do..." Before he could finish his sentence, one of the burly men stepped forward and slapped him, dazing him on the spot. What followed was a flurry of punches and kicks.

Fang Yuran stood there, completely stunned, until Fang Zhiyi walked up to her and gently patted her head. "Dad is late. I've let you suffer."

Fang Yuran's eyes instantly welled up with tears. She had thought she would never be able to return to the Fang family.

But this emotional moment was interrupted by Sun Lei's screams.

"Ahhh! Stop hitting me! I know you! You're Fang Zhiyi! I'm going to sue you! You're assaulting me!"

Fang Zhiyi gave Fang Yuran a somewhat helpless smile and strode over.

"Brother Fang, you don't need to, we can just..."

One of the bald men wanted to be polite, but unexpectedly, Fang Zhiyi raised his foot and kicked Sun Lei right in the face. Sun Lei felt as if his whole life was flashing before his eyes.

"Hiss..." The two helpers looked at Fang Zhiyi in shock.

"A few days ago, you extorted a sum of money from me. I'll just consider that money as your medical expenses paid in advance, and I'll beat you to match that amount." Fang Zhiyi grabbed Sun Lei by the hair. "Sue me? I beat you and paid for it. At most, they'll lock me up for fifteen days. If I break one of your legs, they'll lock me up for three years. But remember this: as soon as I get out, I'll come looking for you again. I'll spend the rest of my fucking life playing this game with you!"

Looking at Fang Zhiyi's murderous face, Sun Lei, who had finally regained his senses, felt his legs inexplicably go weak.

"I... that money... I... it's not..."

"Does ten thousand for that last kick work? Hold his head still, I'm going to add twenty thousand more..."

The two helpers exchanged glances, inexplicably feeling that things were getting a bit out of hand.

"Brother Fang! Boss Fang! Let me go! I was wrong!" Sun Lei yielded.

Fang Zhiyi looked at him. "Where did you go wrong?"

"I... I shouldn't have taken your money..."

"Bullshit!"

"Ah!!! I... I shouldn't have abducted your daughter!! I shouldn't have abducted your daughter!!"

Fang Zhiyi stood up straight. "You all heard him. He did indeed abduct my daughter."

"Uh, I heard it. You damn human trafficker!" One of the bald men smacked Sun Lei hard on the head, causing Sun Lei to grimace in pain.

"Remember today clearly. I want you to remember one thing: before you decide to do anything in the future, think about the consequences." Dropping these words, Fang Zhiyi took the hand of the dumbfounded Fang Yuran and walked away.
