Emily's Sense of Crisis

“Unhappy?”

Emily pulled Lin Feng into the room and looked at him expressionlessly.

Theoretically speaking, Emily was very laid back about this kind of thing. She didn't care at all if Lin Feng talked to women.

But now, Emily smelled a hint of vinegar on Lin Feng.

“No, I'm just trying to tease you a bit.” Emily stuck her head out and took a peek at Kandis wandering around in the living room.

But if it was Yuna, she wouldn't have had such a big reaction.

Perhaps this was the concern that beasts had for each other.

"The main reason is that she's too beautiful. If you get involved with her, you'll definitely ignore me, right?" Emily recalled Kandis' appearance.

She was self-aware and knew her looks definitely couldn't compare to this ex.

Lin Feng went upstairs and opened the door to see Yuna lying flat on the bed, blankly staring at the ceiling.

"What's wrong? Do you have something on your mind?" Lin Feng hopped onto the bed and laid on his side looking at Yuna.

Yuna rolled over and stared straight into Lin Feng's eyes, then suddenly grabbed his hand.

"What's really going on? Don't tell me... you're thinking about doing naughty things?"

Yuna's face instantly fell as she raised her little fists and punched Lin Feng twice, "Why do you always think of these weird things?!"

"Then what's wrong with you? You look completely depressed, I thought you were sick or something." Lin Feng reached out to grab Yuna's tail. She didn't resist now. When he gently pulled on it, she even looked like she was enjoying it.

After the fatigue eased up, Yuna suddenly sat up and shook Lin Feng, "I know your ex-girlfriend.

"You know Kandis? Although she's quite famous among human adventurers, you shouldn't have had much contact with humans, right?"

"Do you remember what I told you before?" Yuna blinked.

"Told me what?"

"There was a little girl who always came to play with me when I was young. That's her!"

Lin Feng grabbed her hand, "Then why are you hiding from her? Why not go chat with her?"

"No, it's been so long, she probably doesn't even remember me. Going up to her suddenly would be a bit weird." Yuna pulled Lin Feng back and had a shy, embarrassed look on her face.

So she was afraid of being forgotten by her childhood playmate.

"Do you want to go downstairs then?"

Yuna lowered her head and poked at her fingers, "Don't want to go down. Master... can you call me when it's time to eat?"

"No problem at all." Lin Feng gave an OK sign.

It was nice that the beast girl had her own little thoughts and worries. That melancholy look was kind of cute.

Lin Feng had just gone downstairs when a shadow darted towards him.

Taking a closer look, it was Yu Li hugging his leg.

"What's wrong? Are you satisfied with the tutor I found for you?"

"Feels okay so far." Yu Li rubbed her face against Lin Feng's leg. It was clear this child had social anxiety.

Yuna scratched her head, looking worried as she said, "But she keeps trying to grab me, I don't know what she wants to do."

"Maybe it's because Yu Li is so cute that she wants to grab her and pet her." Lin Feng gently grasped the tip of her ear and slowly lifted it up.

What an adorable little loli.

"I'm... I'm not cute at all! Big brother, you're always praising me like this." Yu Li's face immediately turned red.

"Enough joking around. I'll take you to meet her." Lin Feng carried Yu Li to the living room. Kandis' gaze was immediately drawn to him.

"Yu Li, come let me hold you."

"No!"

After horsing around for a while, Yu Li darted upstairs like a wisp of smoke.

Watching her flee, Kandis had a look of happiness on her face, "This kid is pretty clever."

"Do you think you can teach her?"

"Of course, this child is definitely a good seedling."

"She's eight now. Give her a beginner's magic book and she can figure out combination magics all by herself. Her talent is exceptional." After observing Kandis' reaction, Lin Feng continued, "Maybe on par with you."

"She's smarter than me, but seems a bit quiet." Kandis accepted the tea that Lin Feng handed her and took a small sip.

"She doesn't talk much because she's not familiar with you yet. She's actually very clingy and a good kid." Lin Feng looked over Kandis. After not seeing each other for so long, she was still as beautiful as before. The tall and alluring rabbit was still so tempting.

"Cough cough!"

There was a cough from the kitchen.

Emily was peering out from behind the door holding a cleaver. Their eyes met.

Lin Feng immediately behaved himself.

"What's your relationship with those two beastkin?" Kandis asked in a small voice. She kept glancing towards the kitchen. "The one from the White Feather Rabbit Tribe seems to be paying special attention to us. She probably doesn't like me much, right?"

Lin Feng swallowed.

He should just tell the truth!

"The white feather rabbit one is called Emily. She's my wife now."

"No wonder she's always glaring at me." Kandis rubbed her head worriedly. She looked at Lin Feng helplessly, "You really did find yourself a beastkin. I thought you were just joking about it before."

"People like different things. I just happen to be into cute beast girls." Lin Feng put his palms together and imagined the future. "If I live long enough, I want to find an elf next, and then a succubus..."

"Stop. What about the one from the Silver Wolf Tribe?"

"That's Yu Li's older sister. We're very good friends."

Right now, Lin Feng really wanted to ask on Yuna's behalf whether Kandis still remembered her or not.

But thinking about how presumptuous that would be, he decided against it.

"You've never used the word 'friend' in a proper way." Kandis sighed and lowered her voice to continue, "Just 'friends' for now? After some time you'll want to..."

"Speaking of which, when do you plan on taking Yu Li away?"

"I'll spend a few days with her first. I'll take her when the timing is right. The little girl is still quite afraid of me." Kandis glanced towards the stairs. Yu Li was peeking at them.

"Dinner time." Like a ghost, Emily suddenly appeared behind Lin Feng.

Lin Feng oh'd and was about to go upstairs to call Yuna for dinner, but leaving his current and ex-girlfriend together didn't seem like a good idea.

"What's wrong?" Emily raised her brow and asked. She was urging Lin Feng with her eyes to hurry up and go.
