Sisterly Love

The moonlight was hazy, and the spring air was intoxicating.

In the small courtyard, by the entryway beneath a sky full of twinkling stars, several girls lay sprawled on the cold floor with their arms and legs spread wide. Their eyes were unfocused as they stared at the ceiling, their chests rising and falling faintly while they gulped down breath after breath. They were drenched in fragrant sweat, looking as though they had just finished running a marathon. Their damp hair clung wetly to their delicate bodies, making them uncomfortable, yet none of them had the strength to move. All they could do was let the night breeze slowly dry the thin layer of sweat on their skin.

And the true protagonist of this battle?

Ye Shu was sitting on the doorstep, his back against the door, a stalk of foxtail grass between his lips as he silently admired his handiwork.

It had been difficult, but he had still emerged victorious.

“You... you big bully!”

Jiang Xin, sprawled on the floor and staring helplessly at the sky, weakly waved an arm. She barely had the strength to curse him, and her soft voice sounded more like she was flirting.

“Shameless! Taking advantage of us when we were vulnerable...”

Ye Shu was not annoyed by her scolding. He merely chuckled and said, “You still have enough energy to curse me? Looks like your husband hasn’t tried hard enough.”

As he spoke, he made as if to stand.

Jiang Xin’s face went pale with fright. She hurriedly waved her hands in surrender. “No! No! I was wrong!”

“Good husband, please let me off.”

Ye Shu had only meant to scare her, so he settled back against the door.

If they really went another round, even an ironclad pair of kidneys wouldn’t be able to take it. The girls might be insisting that they were exhausted, but once they got going, they were like a pack of wolves—each one more tenacious than the last.

“Phew...”

The girls lay sprawled across the floor, panting heavily.

In their current state, they had no energy to argue about betrayal or anything else. They had to recover their strength as quickly as possible, lest the beast beside them suddenly lose control again and plow them into the ground one more time. That would truly be unbearable.

Looking at their utterly spent appearances, Ye Shu gave a mischievous grin.

Leaning against the door, he let the foxtail grass bob up and down with the movement of his lips. “We’ve all fought side by side before, so from now on, let’s stop making such a fuss.”

“None of you is allowed to look down on anyone else.”

“From now on, you’ll address one another as sisters.”

“Sisters?!”

At his words, the women sprawled on the floor widened their eyes and protested in unison.

“Why should we?”

The girls exchanged glances. Each saw the disdain in the others’ eyes, and they promptly turned their heads away, expressing their opposition with synchronized snorts.

“Not willing?”

Seeing their reactions, Ye Shu spoke leisurely. “That’s fine. Whoever isn’t willing can spend the night with me alone from now on. Just don’t come begging me to stop when the time comes.”

The girls immediately fell silent.

This beast had seemed harmless enough under normal circumstances, but they had never expected him to be so ferocious tonight. Their legs were still trembling.

She was the dignified Dragon King, yet she had to call some little brat—her own rival—“Big Sister.” What humiliation! What utter humiliation!

Ao Xue’s expression darkened, but under Ye Shu’s intimidating authority, she still lowered her head and reluctantly called out to Little Beast.

And so, the dispute over the harem finally came to an end.

As for Medusa, Lin Qingxue, and the others, since they were not here, that matter could wait until later.
