"Prolonged the Ming Dynasty's reign by two hundred years?"

As soon as these words were spoken, not only Zhu Yuanzhang and Zhu Di, but also Li Shimin and Qin Shi Huang couldn't help showing expressions of surprise on their faces.

Just what kind of capable person could achieve the feat of prolonging the reign of a unified dynasty by two hundred years?

"Good, good, good! With such a person in our Ming Dynasty, why worry about its prosperity?" Zhu Di laughed heartily.

Zhu Yuanzhang, however, gave a cold snort. "Zhu Laosi, there's such a person under your command, yet you didn't use him earlier. You even kept him on the bench. What, does our Ming Dynasty have so many capable officials that you can't find a position for Yu Qian?"

"Well..."

Hearing this, Zhu Di was at a loss for words.

"I think this way. Since you don't use him, give him to me. I'll take him back to the Hongwu era." Zhu Yuanzhang said.

"Father, this won't do."

Zhu Di was immediately stunned. So his father had been waiting for this opportunity. "Father, the gentleman just said that this Yu Qian prolonged our Ming Dynasty's reign by two hundred years. If you take him away..."

"Heh, look how anxious you are. I'm just joking. If you don't give him, then don't. I'll just go back and find Yu Qian in the Hongwu era." Zhu Yuanzhang said.

"Yu Qian was born in the 31st year of Hongwu, which is the year you died in history. You can't find him now." Qin Ning said.

Hearing this, a look of disappointment immediately appeared on Zhu Yuanzhang's face.

Then Zhu Di said, "Father, why be in such a hurry? Now that you're cultivating immortality with the gentleman, you'll surely live for hundreds of years in the future. The 31st year of Hongwu is only twenty years away from the 11th year of Hongwu now. Won't you be able to see Yu Qian in the Hongwu era twenty years later?"

"He'll only be born twenty years later. Do you want me to invite a newly - born baby to serve as an official in the court?" Zhu Yuanzhang said speechlessly.

"Lao Zhu, you two father and son stop arguing. Listen to the gentleman and continue. How exactly did this Yu Qian prolong your Ming Dynasty's reign by two hundred years?" Li Shimin was getting addicted to being a by - stander.

Hearing this, everyone's gazes turned back to Qin Ning again.

"At that time, Emperor Yingzong was captured, and the court was leaderless. Yu Qian recommended Prince Cheng Zhu Qiyu to supervise the country."

"At this time, Esen divided his troops into three routes and advanced towards the capital. Xu Cheng, a Hanlin lecturer, stood up to advocate the will of heaven and took the opportunity to claim that only moving the capital south could ensure safety."

"Yu Qian, who was then the deputy minister of the Ministry of War, sternly rebuked him, claiming that there had never been a Ministry of War that surrendered without a fight in the world, and said, 'Those who advocate moving the capital south can be beheaded.' The capital is the foundation of the world. Once it moves, everything will be lost!"

"This move was supported by Empress Dowager Sun and the court officials at that time."

"Subsequently, Yu Qian was fully responsible for the defense of the capital. On the grounds of 'the country is more important than the monarch', he strongly advocated supporting the new emperor, Zhu Qiyu, to ascend the throne, in order to eliminate Esen's idea of holding Emperor Yingzong hostage to make demands."

"When Esen's army approached the city, Yu Qian and Zhu Qiyu personally led the army to defend. Finally, after a bloody battle, they achieved victory in the defense of the capital."

Hearing this, Zhu Di nodded repeatedly. "I didn't expect this Yu Qian to have such abilities. No wonder the gentleman said that he prolonged our Ming Dynasty's reign by two hundred years."

"This Zhu Qiyu is also good." Zhu Yuanzhang said.

Qin Ning pondered slightly and then continued, "In the eighth year of Jingtai, Zhu Qizhen ordered Yu Qian to be executed outside Chongwen Gate."

"What?"

Hearing this, Zhu Di was greatly shocked. "Yu Qian is dead? And he was executed? Wait, why was it Zhu Qizhen who gave the order? Isn't the emperor Zhu Qiyu?"

"The Coup of Seizing the Gate, also known as the Restoration of the Southern Palace. Zhu Qizhen launched a coup with the support of Shi Heng, Xu Youzhen, and Cao Jixiang and became the emperor again."

"Beast! Damn beast!"

Zhu Yuanzhang was furious. "How dare this beast do such a thing?"

"Actually, Emperor Yingzong had a grudge against Yu Qian in his heart. Back then, Emperor Yingzong was captured by the Oirat. In order to stabilize the country, Yu Qian supported the new emperor and didn't prioritize rescuing Emperor Yingzong back to the country."

"Later, after Emperor Yingzong returned to the country, he was locked up in the Southern Palace for a full seven years and had a hard life. He thought that Yu Qian had military power but didn't come to rescue him. He even worried that Yu Qian would help Emperor Jingtai deal with him, which made him think that Yu Qian was a threat."

"Finally, Emperor Yingzong ordered Yu Qian to be executed on the grounds that 'if Yu Qian is not killed, his accession to the throne is not legitimate'."

"Bang!"

Zhu Di kicked over the table and shouted angrily, "This little bastard. As an emperor, he was captured during a personal expedition. How dare he blame others for not rescuing him? Where did he get the nerve?"

Zhu Yuanzhang said, "Sir, can you take me to settle accounts with this turtle - grandson? I'll beat him to death!"

"Oh? What are your plans?" Qin Ning asked in return.

Hearing this, Zhu Yuanzhang calmed down a little. After closing his eyes and pondering for a moment, he said, "In the Battle of Tumu Fort, five hundred thousand elite troops of the Ming Dynasty died on the battlefield. I... want to save them!"

"I see..."

Qin Ning stroked his chin. "It's okay, but when do you plan to go? If you want me to take action, it might be a bit difficult."

It's not that Qin Ning was unwilling to help.

It's just that with his cultivation and status, there were too many karmic connections involved.

It wouldn't be a problem in a sub - plane like the Hongwu era, but in secondary planes like the Yongle and Zhengtong eras, if he intervened too much by himself, it might cause the secondary plane to collapse irreversibly.

"The little Oirat tribe, of course, doesn't need the gentleman to take action personally. I'll lead the troops there myself. During this period, my Ministry of Works has built a lot of flintlock guns. It's just right to test their power on them." Zhu Yuanzhang said.

"Just having flintlock guns is not enough. The Ming Dynasty also had firearms at that time. Flintlock guns are not enough to achieve a complete crush." Qin Ning said.

Zhu Yuanzhang smiled. "It's not just flintlock guns. Last time, Mr. Xia also brought back twenty thousand bolt - action rifles from the later generations for me, and I've already had the troops trained."

"At that time, I'll lead twenty thousand riflemen, thirty thousand flintlock gunmen, and more than a dozen mortars brought back from the later generations. Mr. Xia said that there will be enough shells."

Hearing this, Qin Ning nodded. "If that's the case, it can indeed be called a dimensionality reduction strike."

Saying this, he suddenly remembered something and looked at Zhu Di. "Do you want to go? When I called Mr. Zeng last time, I learned from him that a new good thing has been developed recently. Do you want to try it?"

"Oh? What is it?" Zhu Di was curious.

"I'll take you to the later generations to try its effect. Just think of it as training. Then you'll know what it is." Qin Ning smiled mysteriously.

After saying that, he looked at Zhu Yuanzhang again. "Lao Zhu, go back and assemble the troops. We'll set off in seven days."

"Sir, don't forget to take me and Brother Zheng with you. We also want to go and have a look." Li Shimin said.

"Okay, then come and find me in seven days." Qin Ning nodded.
